  1. Hi there just wondered why are you considering the bridging course if you have a degree?? I think that is just for diploma qualified nurses. You can apply to aphra when you have your nmc pin regards
  2. Hi Toolbox I am moving over next year with the family I will have about 6 months experience, are you aware if St Andrews take on with that amount of experience? We already have permanent residency. I have been offered a UK job in ICU and start in September so my 6 months post qualified expeirence will be specialist. any help would be appreciated. regards
  3. SA Health are currently advertising for an ICU nurse but not sure about the sponsorship availability.
  4. The furthest my cat will 'wander' at night is from the window sill to the food bowl, I never allow her to go out at night time because I am fully aware that this is when cats will hunt. I am a responsible cat owner, the thought of her killing wildlife is horrendous, please do not judge me to not care about wildlife whether that be in the UK or Australia.
  5. Thank you for this, much more useful than the previous poster!!!
  6. Whilst I appreciate everyone is entitled to their own opinion please do not call my cat vermin. She is not vermin. Unfortunately I would not be able to leave her anywhere safe away from wildlife because we are surrounded by wildlife. she hardly ever goes out as she prefers to sit on the window sill, she wears a bell on her collar to alert the birds if she's about and we also back onto a lake and she has NEVER brought anything back . I created this post for advice on what is the best thing to do for my cat who has been in my life from being 12 weeks old not to be lectured to about cats killing wildlife.
  7. Thankyou for the replies. I couldn't leave her with someone I didn't know and had hoped my parents would look after her but sadly not. Bob if we decide to take her through your company would you be able to assist me with all of the things I would need to do? We are leaving in April next year. thanks
  8. Hi as the above says really, she is nearly 11 is very skitty and shy and was badly mistreated as a kitten before I rescued her. I am worried how the journey will affect her. also could anyone advise of the cost of shipping for her? I have no idea how much the cost would be. any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance
  9. p.s if, eventually, you do migrate to Oz, and successfully obtain an ARTC, then currently, I believe it is still possible to do a course with PEER VEET in Adelaide, South Australia and after successfully completing their short course you can obtain an SA licence with no 'on the job' gap training, no log book. This licence can then be used to obtain another state licence, should you choose to live in another state, under the terms of the Mutual Recognition Act. Derren7. Has this recently changed? My oh has his ostr and has been told,he needs to complete gap training and then the log book, we are moving to SA.
  10. Hi there Just after some advice please. I'm due to qualify next year with a degree, hoping to do my six month preceptorship in ED. We are hoping to apply for a 190 visa through my partners occupation, we are currently at skills assessment stage. My questions are how much post qualified experience do I need to register with AHPRA and will I still need to do IELTS if I am not the main visa holder? Thank you in advance!
