  1. Hi all.... I arrived in perth 2 days ago, and its now time to start looking for a school for my kids: 9 & 6. i know of 2 primary schools: Brighton and one in currambine (France's John). does anyone else know of any other good catholic schools please?
  2. If you look at my signature, I have put it all down as I was going along.
  3. You send the payment with the application. if you look through the guidelines, you'll see who to address the international cheque too. I can't remember who to address it to, I just remember I only just fit it onto the line of the application...
  4. I thought I would give a quick post, if you look at my signature you can see my time line.. i went ahead and organised my medicals, and my case officer was assigned once the medical centre had loaded my reports online. if you contact australia immigration in Adelaide they will inform you if you have a case officer. regards, and good luck
  5. have you booked your medicals? once I had completed my medicals, my case officer was assigned. I don't know if this was coincidence or luck, but I have seen this on a few other signatures. Can anyone else confirm this.

    Medicals

maybe they haven't gone through your application yet... I'm not sure as mine was there straight away. is the 'organise medicals' not further down the page, under the window where you upload all your documents?

    Medicals

If you have completed your application, you should have the link 'organise medicals'. You can book your meds using this.... I just went ahead and booked mine
  8. Sorry, scap that thought. I have just received my visa grant through this morning.
  9. Has anyone had there Medicals referred in the last couple months and had there visa granted now. if so please could you share your experience and time line. I had my Medicals referred and I have been waiting only a couple of weeks but its driving me mad already. I've heard referrals are taking upto 3 months to complete. Can anyone verify this? Has anyone had there referral completed quicker than this? thanks in advance for any reply's
  10. By the sounds of things, the organise Medicals part online disappears when they receive your medical reports. Contact your case officer and ensure they have received them or not.
  11. I found out about my grade by ringing the hospital that carried out my Medical. just found out last night, my medical was referred. Gutted, but I expected it really. i haven't commented on the other points, as I don't really know enough about this stage myself.
  12. thanks for your reply. Do they refer all grade 'A' medicals with a history of any medicals, or just a selection? How long does it take to sort the medicals out once referred, I heard a month. Is this correct anyone?
  13. I have previous medical conditions, and a current minor issue. both of these problems were mentioned, and I went with current documentation to medical assessment at Manchester. I have been graded 'A', and as I believe this is good news. but when I log into my online portal, the link to organize medicals is missing for my wife and two children, but mine (the main applicant) is still present. Does this mean they are still processing mine, and it has been referred? Do they even refer 'A' graded medicals? If the medicals get referred with a grade 'A' status, are they processed quicker than 'B' grades? Please can anyone shed some light, or share similar situation. thanks in advance
  14. I thought I would just add that my skills assessment with TRA cost $300, with an extra £30 to have all my documents certified by a solicitor. While you are going through certification process, you may as well get all the documents done for your main application. If you want I can give you a complete list of everything I had certified.
  15. Thanks for your reply. That's a relief as I've already sent mine and my wife's off on Friday. As I have lodged my visa now and have a TRN number, am I right in thinking I can book Medicals now for in a couple of weeks time, as this would allow the 10days for a case officer to be assigned. or should I just wait?
  16. I have submitted my 190 visa, and under my childrens section it is showing that I have to attach police checks for them. Is this correct? there only 5 and 8 regards
  17. 2.where do i have to go for the medicals. there are different sites around UK, where I will be going is manchester 3.what is an ielt test International English Language Test: they hold these all over the place in uk, I did mine in Leeds The IELTS is to test your english: Listening, Reading, Speaking and writing. It can be tricky, and you will have to revise for this to gain your level 7's.
  18. sineadallen this is as I believe it to be from my research prior to applying for the 190 subclass... You are allowed to apply for which ever visa's you like, that is up to you. So yes you can apply for both the 189 & 190, this is the whole point of the skill select process. Only once you have completed your EOI for your visa, can you apply for SS... You then apply to the state which you want to live in, or commit to the most. I applied to WA, as you can see in my signature.. I havnt applied for the 189, as the processing time is meant to be quicker with the 190.. (189:12mths)(190:6mths). hence the reason I have applied for only the 190. After a month if I havnt heard anything for the WA SS, then I will update my EOI to include the 189 subclass visa. bear in mind you have to pay to each state for the sponsorship; WA was £140. So it is probably best to choose one or the other. I also saw in another post that if you apply for two states, then certain states will regect you on these grounds as your not showing commitment to there state: not sure how much truth is in this. also if you are offered say the 189 visa, but you still want to wait for the 190. what I saw on other posts are you just reject that invite and wait a little longer. I think you are only allowed to reject so many invites, before they cancel you EOI though. hope this helps a bit, sorry about spelling. just about to crash out
  19. _shel : thanks for your reply, I feel better knowing that. Hopefully I should be ok, as there have been no more issue regarding the surgery I received.
  20. haha, no I didnt see them. Thanks for your reply
  21. Is anybody willing to share their reasons for being declined on medical grounds, or if you were referred, then accepted. Id like to hear all different views/cases as I dont think anyone would have the same issue as me, but your stories could give me an idea of my outcome. I'm asking this, as I am concerned my medical may be referred for the following reason. 3 years ago I went into hospital for a minor operation, which went wrong resulting in me having Septicaemia and fluid building up on my left lung as a result of several abscesses. This required me to have open surgery twice. I am fully better now, and have been for the last 3 years. Other than a kidney stone, that I have just had blasted this week. Can anyone tell me if they was referred, or declined, for any of the things I have mentioned i.e scar tissue etc. As I have scar tissue around my stomach, and there may be scarring where my lung filled up with fluid. Thanks for your replys
  22. I completed my EOI on the skill select website. Then once I had my EOI ref number, I completed the state sponsorship application online. This was done on a different web address, which mine was the WA site. Yours will depend on the state your applying to.
  23. tayloal; I know mine does seem to be progressing well, I still wish it would be faster though. I just cant wait to get in oz now. 16 weeks seems a long time, have you pestered them. when I was looking into AE skills assessment I think I did see that it took longer than TRA. If you havnt heard anything though surely that must be a good thing, as any error's would have flagged up by now. kirstynjason; I applied for state sponsorship with WA, and you do that on there website once you receive you positive skill assessment.
  24. Thought I would just add on this for you guys. I applied to TRA on 5th march and received positive skills assessment by post on 4th may. I didnt even know about the portal for TRA, which is a good job as I would of checked it a least 10 times a day haha.
  25. Brilliant, I hope thats how quick mine goes through... thanks for replying
