  11. Hi. I'm new to Australia and getting a little confused. I've had 2 drs appointments in the last week. The first, I paid them $80 and got a medicare rebate into my bank account immediately. The second appointment was for a vaccination, which I'd picked a prescription up for and taken the vials to the appointment. This time, I paid $80 for the appointment and got a receipt but no rebate. The receipt mentioned 2nd appointment in one day but it wasn't and when I asked the receptionist, I felt like I was speaking a foreign language. I also asked why I didn't get a receipt for the first bill I'd paid and got a returning look as if I had 2 heads. Any help/explanation is much appreciated. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

  15. We spent a long time deciding on whether to bring our dogs with us. One died, so the decision was taken from us. My FIL fell in love with one and 'acquired him' and our third dog, we finally decided to rehome with a puppy of hers. We felt that, as she'd never been without other dogs, it was a bit selfish to crate her up and expect her to be happy on her own. We visited lots before we left, to make sure she was happy and settled. It's a sort of bittersweet relief that we didn't pay for her to be brought over as she fitted a few days before we moved and the vet couldn't wake her. A 'healthy' 5yo. 16. My OH just agreed with this. If we'd done this, he'd have had all 3 to himself...wish you'd posted a few weeks ago! ;-) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  17. OH says, "are there any decent pubs in Osborne Park/Joondanna?" No idea what decent means, but in my book, it doesn't involve enormous costs for a beer Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  18. We couldn't get these as they were reserved for travellers for under 2s and disabled but when we've had them before, we've found the space great until it came to meal times, then it was a juggle. Definitely the best seats though. Wonder if the OP will fit a tray past her bump ?? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    Work or Dole

I'd work. OH has offer for $55000 job (he'd love the role and it's completely different to what he's used to). We are almost a family of 6 in Perth. Our take is, something is better than nothing. I don't understand how someone could feel fulfilled, sitting, doing nothing. In the UK, we squeezed in working and home schooling our children Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  20. Recently flew with Emirates. 2 adults, 3 children (youngest was 2yo). 5 cases and a pushchair, no problems at all. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  21. Thank you all. I'll seek out all of them! ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  22. Pass as many child duties as you can onto your OH. As spacious as the seats are, they aren't a patch on a sofa when a tired little one wants a cuddle. Our little ones behaved exceptionally well. 2yo slept almost all of the 2nd flight...just a shame that she sprawled across my chair too. The rest of the time, she stared at the tv screen, insisting Thomas the Tank Engine was on but refused the earphones. She refused to eat anything but drank lots of water. Look after yourself, I was very uncomfortable. In flight staff kept passing drinks to me, which was lovely...my legs became like tree trunks, even with the fetching flight socks! 23. Thank you. I hadn't thought of the environmental impact on services. I'll probably phone them tomorrow Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  24. Can anyone recommend a suncream that is gentle on children's skin? 5yo had eczema, which we thought he'd grown out of but both he and 2yo look like they've been cut with razor blades as a reaction to suncreams ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  25. How are you working without a tax number? ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
