Love your posts Shellybingobingo always watching out for what your up to lol .... im same , traumatized when I leave Ireland ..been here 5 yrs on/off married to an Irishman that's lived here 32 yrs .....and left my 3 adult kids and 6 grandkids .... tried but seriously need to go home , long story , but I personally think the price is too high for the sun/sand /lifestyle ... rather walk 5 minutes in the rain to meet up with family/friends than sit on a beach on me own ...

Last year when I got a call back from mammogram .. biopsy results clear . thank God. made me realized how alone I was .even with my husband .. we were never going to stay forever, but preparing to go home to Ireland later this year ... couldn't be happier.

Be interested to find out about this too ...hubby been here working for 34 yrs ...citizen ..im 4 years (on..off ) as per visa requirements...we want to go back to Ireland next year ...he assumed he could just take it with him ....as usual nothing is ever easy lol

Hi again all , So, just ready to apply for partner visa onshore ..married last month .....told i will go straight on to Bridge Visa, while Im waiting , which can take 6-9 months ...was planning a holiday for me and Hubby to Ireland for Christmas .. as he hasnt been home for 30 years ...now Iv heard you cant leave the country while on a bridging Visa...went on their website , got all confused about A.B.C. BRIDGING VISA'S ????? Anybody know if i cant leave the country while waiting ???? what if there was an emergency??

Hi again all :biggrin: anyone know if now im married and applying for 2nd stage partner visa in Oz ......do I apply in maiden name as on passport or do I include marriage name ...do i have to fill any extra forms ??? and is it the same fee as pmv? Think I have Post traumatic visa stress...cos Im feeling stessed already lol.........

Hiya tfarrell.....Im from Dublin too ...and living in Sydney ....I came over and left my grown up kids over there .....just remember why we left .....it is pretty bad ....your children will make friends.. you will make friends and your husband will find work..it all takes time ...just give it a fair go .... and if you still feel the same in 10 months or so ....

I used Visa first for my 6 month tourist visa three times.in the last 2 and a half yrs .... it was only the last one that immigration wanted details ie My Funds ..as i couldnt work (over 30) where i was going and why ?? took a little bit longer than normal, but if you meet their criteria ...it shouldn`t be a problem ..I always found them very helpful, and rarely got to speak to the same person twice ..Good Luck,

Hiyas .....so now im here on my PMV.... Nearly 2 weeks and waited so long for visa to be granted ,wedding is set for 29/12 and have no clue of how im supposed to organise a wedding in Oz....Have a celebrant booked .... have my dress , but as to where and how ?????? not into public... ie beach / park ceremony....Would like a nice hotel with a balcony with a view that will serve dinner for only 24/ 26 guests ( billy no mates) lol that guests will be able to book a room .....doesnt have to be 5 star but obviously would have to be nice, intimate is the word im looking for lol...In or around Sydney??? open to suggestions . ....any suggestions will be greatly appreciated :wideeyed: cheers ....

I did Etihad Flight ..7 ish hours to Abi Dhabi , 3 hr 20 min stop to stretch my legs, and 13 ish hrs to Sydney. have to say ..only because i had a row of seats to myself ..so I was able to sleep most of the 2nd leg ...Here a week today, jetlag is a bummer , but only last for me 5-6 days .......Good Luck ..you will be fine ..and so worth it when you get here

My Passport had to be renewed while I was waiting ( just shows how long it took lol) I informed MC of this and she told me to send her a certified copy of the new one ..asap

I emailed MC to ask if ok to book flight .....and she granted it within a few hours ........with a lovely note saying "all the best" ...cried for about 10 minutes before i actually told everyone lol........Make sure your sitting down hahaa Good luck Anika:hug:
