  1. I dont know the answer to this but I hope your situation improves so that you are able to repay your debt.
  2. Our courier was TransGlobal express. Dont use them.
  3. Well that beggrars belief, and I've learnt something new today. But I suppose if anything happens and someone becomes ill and then can't afford the mortgage the bank would repossess the house and they would be on the street. Taking whatever deposit they have paid.
  4. I paid more than your £35 for our courier and they still got lost, at the other end they were delivered by Australia post (I know I thought my courier would have taken them door to door) but apparently Henly Brook in WA is classed as rural. Im sure it was DHL who we used, ill ask the OH when she gets home to confirm.
  5. How much deposit will be needed then for a average house, aged 60 with no work history?
  6. Certified copies are what you need unless you can scan the originals in colour, to be on the safe side we had everything certified and 2 or 3 copies of each just in case any went missing in the post which the 1st lot did.
  7. Just show your pay slips that should show you have worked the 20 hours needed.
  8. If you dont know the process to follow I think it would be better for you to use an agent, as they would know what is needed and when.
  9. If your not going to get the sponsorship for the 190 and that would be needed for the points I personally think you would be right to withdraw it, but not being a profetional in the imigration area I wouldn't take my word on it though. Im sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly with some sound advice. Good look anyway Tim.
  10. Our got lost also, full set of certified docs everything, eventually they were found spread about in the back of an Australia post van. Luckily we had duplicates back home and we re-sent those. They arrived just as the others were found.
  11. I very much doubt you would get a mortgage unless you have say a 90% deposit. There is record youth un-employment in the Uk and I think the over 60's would really struggle. If you have been out of the Uk for a long time you wont get much if any pension you would need to go on income support. If you are in Oz and you have paid in there why not stay.
  12. We had to get a holiday let for the 1st month, then when you have 100 points worth of Id and can show either enough income or funds to be able to afford the rent for the rental term then you should be ok.
  13. Sorry cant help with the specifics, but the rules are there for a reason. Being in a relationship for 6 months is not a very long time TBH. Maybe you should return to the Uk and bring your fella with you for a holiday then you could gather the evidence you need here. I dont think 6 months is really long enough to actually get to know one another so why would the immigration department, thats not to say your relationship wont last but that is what the immigration department will be thinking. Good luck though.
  14. Finger crossed for you mate, then you will be able to enjoy the scenery in Oz
  15. If you get stuck we have a 3 bedroom rental for January, its only me and my partner so 2 room going to waste.
  16. Maybe you could both be looking for work right now and if you find something before your husband he could look after the baby for the time being, its not ideal but at least it would help. It would not have to be permanent just until hubby finds work.
  17. My uk police record showed a caution from when I was 12 years old 28 years ago, not sure where you are from but it would have saved all this last minute worry if you had just told them in the 1st place.
  18. Looks like you are up a creek without a paddle, on the visa application it says you must declare every conviction. When you fly out you will have to answer weather you have had any convictions on the entry card, if you answer yes they will question you regarding it then they may find out you filled in your application falsely, then they could cancel your visa. Or if you say no then you are making a falce statement again, both are grounds to revoke your visa. Personally I think you should have been honest from the off and then you would not have been in this situation.
  19. No you would need to get it off your own back. People who marry Ozzys have enough problems getting a visa
  20. I don't think it goes on your spelling so much but your grasp of the language. I got 8.5 overall and I can't spell for jack.
  21. Bankers, hedge fund managers, politicians, tv stars all use legal means to avoid paying tax. It doesn't make it right though.
  22. If there is not the call, couldn't you just put people in a trans and make them believe that there is a need for your services. lol
  23. I think you can get a round the world ticket that lets you keep the return open, not sure if you have to actually go around the world though.
  24. We got 1 way through SP air, 2 nights in SP to go with it, a return would have only cost a few quid more but getting a return would have been in our minds not committing to the move.
