Just so others know the Byford situation. We got our Jack Russell booked in for the 15th January which was just over 2 months notice. I reckon as long as you book at least 2 months in advance it will be fine

I really hope everything works out for you, this is a nightmare - especially the shipping the dog back home bit. Surely there must be another way. Good luck

I have emailed animalimp@aqis.gov.au for my permit Is this the correct way to go about getting the permit? Also how long does it take? Any info from folks that have done this before would be great Cheers

In hindsight I shouldn't have used the Post Office, cost me only £9 but god knows where they are. I'll give it a week then contact DHL. Thanks for the responses guys

I posted all my documents 2 weeks ago to my migration agent on Oz and they haven't arrived Anyone know how long the time scale can be or has anyone had issues before with post in Oz I know the PO at my end delivered them to OZ, just cant track them out there

Locked cases are more of a target for criminals Always amused me that people padlock there cases when most would be thiefs would just put a knife through the main body

Looking for some advice here We are in the process of waiting for our visa. (i have sponsorship and a job) We have our little Jack Russell up to date with RNATT and Microchip so she is ready to be shipped 150 days after the RNATT which is the middle of January 2013 Do I go ahead and sort out the quarantine side of things or do I wait? I realise in need a DAFF certificate, when should I go about getting that? It would be Byford,Perth which from what I'm hearing is small and might not have space, hence the timing issues Just wondering how people have worked things in the past Thanks
