  1. Hi lads, unfortunately I just can't get the time off work for this one. Really sorry. Would have been great Craic. Enjoy it and maybe I'll see you at another one sometime! xx
  2. I've never flown with them, but I've heard nothing but good things. I've never heard anyone say anything negative about them. My brother is flying out with them in September. 3 days after booking his flight, they phoned us up to explain there was going to be a change of aircraft and that his seat had been changed. I thought that was pretty good of them. I've never heard of that sort of service from anyone else. Having said that, I've just flown out to Oz with Emirates and they were exceptional.
  3. Aaaaaaaargghhhh! Hahaha, that's scary. I can't believe I'm a final year. I can't believe I might be able to get to Aus and work! WOW! XX
  4. I have been in Adelaide for the past fortnight. (Back in the UK now) It wasn't hot but by no means cold. Slightly chilly, sure. The other thing I noticed was that when people said, oh no it's going to rain tomorrow; it would rain for an hour and then the sun would come out and it was beautiful. I've got to be honest, it was good for me to be there in winter after only ever being there in the summer in the past. It wasn't half as bad as I imagined though, I found it was not cold like it is in Northern Europe in the winter and you can still go out and do things. Just take your rain coat. I even went for a swim at Glenelg which everyone thought was crazy, but I didn't think it was that cold at all. It was good to see how cold it does get, however if that's the coldest it gets in Adelaide, then I'm in. I could absolutely live with that.
  5. I'm no expert but I'd say using "both legs" is absolutely a good start. Fair play to you and good luck.
  6. Wow Shoes! That's wonderful. Congrats. I know. I can't believe we're now third years. It's really scary but amazing as well! xx
  7. Thanks! I bet you must be looking forward to the next year too?
  8. Nice work peeps! Well done. I can't believe how fast this studying is going! Jac that's amazing, congratulations on the new job. See you in oz soon I'm sure haha! :-) xx
  9. Wooooohooooo! Passed second year, (third if you count my diploma) Now officially a final year student! Bring it on. X
  10. I also realise that I appear to have killed this thread, sorry lads...
  11. Thank you everyone for your lovely words. It means a lot. I hope to make it to the meet up, it would be wonderful. On another note, I've just looked through a few of my last posts. I would like to apologize for my English! It is atrocious!! I guess that's what happens when you stop using it, even for only a week!!!
  12. I've never heard of anyone being rejected unless they have serious convictions. I think the general rule of thumb is if you are sentenced to 12 months or more in prison. Don't quote me on that though. I applied for a WHV about 3-4 years ago, for various reasons I never actually used it. Mine was granted in about 12 hours. My brother is going on a WHV in September and his took about 4-6 hours. (We think. He was asleep while it was granted.) I wouldn't worry, if you meet the eligibility criteria and have no major convictions, you will get the visa. Have an amazing time! It is till a goal of mine to go out on one eventually.
  13. Thank you, that is very kind. Yeah I hope I get back alright! I know, end of year exams. Stressful enough as they are, without know if you will miss them totally! Luckily, so far I've had pretty decent results, so Uni are being amazing. If I get really stuck, I can just do them during the retake period in August. Probably right when this meeting up is! Hope you are well? xx
  14. Absolutely, If i can make it! Sorry I haven't replied yet, have been out of the loop. I had to make a mad dash back to The Netherlands because my gran passed away on Monday. I've since been having all sorts of passport trouble and don't know if I can get back to the UK in time for exams, so haven't been online for a bit. If I can be there, I absolutely will. xx
  15. I might just show up, get on the ales and start pulling a few wheelies. It's kind of my trademark. x
  16. You'll be grand Stacey. If you need anything, just ask. xx
  17. No sign of it yet PB! We shall wait and see. I'd love a decent summer! Get some good quality silage in!
  18. That's awesome! So chuffed for you. I know you've wanted to do it for ages! x
  19. 9000 words is not much!?!?!?!! hahaha! It's a fair chunk anyway! I had a 12000 on my access, but that ha been blocked from my memory. I think our dissy next year is about 6k or something somewhat sensible like that. I should be writing an assignment now, but I just can't get into it tonight.
  20. Stace, I was like that ALL THE TIME during my access course. Remember me having a total meltdown on here because I didn't think I wanted to do it anymore? It's normal. It's also really tough going, but you will be wonderful I know! Even if you decide not to go to Uni straight away, you will have this course under your belt to use at a later date. If you're finding it tough and need anything, just shout. I've got a couple of books from my access if you want them? xx
  21. Wow! Jac, that is fantastic! Congratulations, what a relief. I'm really pleased for you. It will spur you on to do that last bit of the course now! Brilliant. xx
  22. Cos they have their whole family there? ... Oh wait.
