Hi, We used Seven Seas, £400 for 10 boxes, a bike and a guitar.....they left a couple of weeks ago, due in Sydney in November....here's hoping they arrive!

Our CO was JF, i think others that had him were pretty quick too. We emailed him at about 3 months to ask were up to and he told us would be issued early sept which would have been just over 4 months, then came through at 3 and a half. Flights now booked and leave 12th Oct! Hope you hear soon, good luck!

We were end of April and granted 12th Aug, seems to vary from different C.O.'s, hope it comes soon!

Hi 89 Mariah, JF was fab, we emailed him about a month a go to see if needed anything else and where up to, and he answered saying all ok and should be granted early Sept, then we got it last friday.....we're so relieved. Now i'm just in a total spin trying to organise everything.....i dont know where all this 'stuff' has come from in the house that needs getting rid off! Need to do a big car boot sale soon! Nell

Visa approved today (case officer JF), submitted end of April, so about 3 and a half months.....very very happy......and very relieved as i'd already booked flights for October...now to get ready! Nell

Hi all, things starting to look up, we lodged application end of April and were getting very worried about not hearing anything, especially as i need to give 2 months notice at work, but we emailed our C.O. (JF) and got a really nice email back yesterday saying visa should be issued early sept, but not to make any firm plans as there can still be delays. So hopefully that will be just over 4 months for it to be processed.... i know we're not quite there yet, but it really has reduced my worry!!

Hi Annalg, I was registered in NSW in 1990 - 1997 and let it laspe when returned to UK, now going back to Aus and has to reapply from scratch, i too really wish hadnt let it lapse.....being previously registered doesnt seem to count for much. I reapplied to APRHA about 6 weeks ago, got confirmation received and now just waiting..... hope goes well for you! Nell

I'm very relieved to hear others havent had documents back either, thought it was just us!! Definately stressful time and i think i start reading into things that arent there looking for good or bad signs!! But find it really helpful to hear where others are up to and what time lines are, and it seems like they're cautious of being too definate for good reason, if i even heard something vague i think i'd have the flights booked tomorrow! And definately starting to think JF away, here's hoping he comes back refreshed and in good mood! Good to hear from all Nell

Hi, we have him too and submitted a day after you. We got confirmation he was assigned to us and request for medical and police check, but nothing since. Have you had your original documents returned? We havent, which is worrying me that theres a problem. We emailed a couple of weeks ago, but havent heard back, dont want to hassle, but also want to know if all ok. Hard to know what to do for the best! I wondered if maybe he was away or just really busy......

Hiya, we have JF too, lodged end of April, emailed a couple of weeks ago but no reply, wondering if maybe he's on leave or just busy? My big worry is we've not had original documents returned and most other people seem to have, and also i have to give 2 months notice at work, so very keen to know as much in advance as possible! Hi, just wondering if anyone else not had their original paperwork and documents returned. We submitted in April, money taken and CO allocated, but nothing else. Keep seeing other people had stuff returned and wondering if its a good/bad sign that we havent. Have Emailed CO a couple off weeks ago but no answer. May ease my mind to know others in same situation!! Nell

Hi, Has anyone else got JF as CO? We put in application at end of April, money taken, police check and medical done early may. Havent been asked for any more info, but also not had the things we submitted returned yet, is that usual? Think i'm just anxious like we all seem to be about getting the ok!

Hi, new to this and quite confused about applying through AHPRA, so any advice appreciated! I'm a British trained RMN, old style hospital trained so not got a diploma or degree in nursing, although more recently have completed a social science degree and also lots of nursing relevant professional development. I lived in Australia for several years back in the 1990's, got citizenship, and was registered and worked in NSW so all documents verified etc then and ok. Have been back in UK for 10 years but now returning to Aus. Obviously the system has changed and it seems i need to reapply through AHPRA from scratch, but as i've already been registered and worked in Australia for years shouldnt there be some record of my previous registration which means i wouldnt have to reprovide all the evidence again? I'm also concerned that my nursing qualification wont be recognised any more, yet if i'd stayed registered in NSW it would have just been tranferred over. Have trawled through the AHPRA site and am not clear about this and have emailed them and got very vague reply. Also anyone know how long process takes and if worthwhile applying in UK or waiting till back in Australia? Many thanks for any advice! Nell
