Here's our timeline so far: Nomination by employer lodged 09/01/2014 Approved 17/03/2014 Application lodged 14/08/2014 Medicals completed 01/09/2014 The reason for the gap between approval and lodging the application was due to having skills assessment which took 5 months to go through but also wanted the approval as for me the fear was of losing over $8k had they turned round and said no :smile:

We qualified when it was UKCC, NMC gave us statement of entry which we then had to get copied and certified (surprise, surprise), you can now print these off on the NMC website

Just a quickie to say after a very long and tiring journey i am "home" even if it is only for 3 weeks. Weather has been lovely today in Staffordshire, with a little rain :smile: I am loving listening to the garden birds, everything appears to be in technicolour, so lush and green, garden looks amazing with the multitude of shades and colours, shopping (the little i've done so far) can't believe how cheap things are we were like kiddies in a sweetie shop last night. simple pleasures such as a ham sandwich tastes soooo much nicer.......

When I started counting down originally it was 237 days and now I'm down to just 2 days and a bit until I go back home............................For a "holiday"..................... then we'll see where the land lies and what decisions we come to :smile:

We were told by our registration officer we only needed to send the last 12 months CPD :smile:

I have been asked to forward evidence of CPD and contacted my registrations officer, he has told me the CPD evidence should be from the past year (less than one year old) i'm not sending certificates as not all courses/learning gives one so i'm going by this link CPD template.doc posted on another thread, will then get it signed by my manager (watch this space ) :biggrin:

We have friends going to Perth on a 457 visa, both had to sit ielts and have skills aseessed by anmac, we're going to Adelaide on 176 visa (hopefully) we sat the ielts as we left school a very long time ago and getting info from schools etc seemed too much of a b*ll ache also have to go through anmac. If you do sit the ielts as nurses we have to sit the academic ielts and not the general. Hope this helps a little, Sue
