Absolutely mate. Totally agree. You have to put your family first so don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. I admire your resolve. You dont need to justify anything.

If there is anything that I can do let me know.

Hi

We are both good. Lisa has got a positive skills test, queensland nursing council registration, IELTS pass and we have been told that we will be getting our state sponsorship very shortly. So we are getting it all together so that as soon as January 7th has passed we will be able to put in for a 176 visa. We have a good friends wedding in December 2010 so we will be leaving after that. We have just sold our house this week. £5k off asking price but they want to move in before xmas and they are cash buyers. We will move into rented for a year.

So whats going on with John and Family? Cant believe that they want to come home already. I hope that they change they mind in the next few months as they have paid a lot of money to get where they are and if they go hone I think they might regret it later. So how are they?

Glad you are all ok and living the dream.

 5.
Thank you. I dont think its going to be as bad as we all first thought.Theres only so many people that want to go to oz who are on the CSL and it is not going to take 3 years to process them.

 6. hi My wife Lisa sat her IELTS test yesterday and hopefully she has passed and being positive, I have downloaded the QLD nursing reg forms. Am I correct in saying that once we receive her result I can ask the ANMC to forward all the docs I sent them and then just send off the QLD nursing form with the fee? JOHN
 7.
Glad that you are enjoying it. We loved SL. We had the best milkshake in the whole time we was in oz at the little parade of shops there ( how sad is that!!!!) We will take a look at your web site right now!

Hi Lynne

Have you started work yet? Hubby got anything?

Us? well we are waiting for our ANMC to come through and then we have to wait till January (when Lisa has done a year) to apply for State sponsorship and then the visa. I reckon its going to take year from January. In the mean time I am going to join the Met police as I want to join the QLD police.

Hope you dont mind me contacting you? I have been looking at Warner and hope you can answer a few questions.

Whats it like? Any bad areas? How good is the journey into Brisbane? Whats the nearest beach? My wife is going fo a job as a nurse at the Mater or the Chermside hospital so how good is the journey to them?

Hope to hear from you but no worries if you dont want to.

Hi Shirley

Go to the application form http://www.anmc.org.au/docs/International_docs/Full%20%28Form%20B%29%202007original%20Updated%20April%202009%20.pdf and on page 3 it states:Employment statement/s stating dates of employment

for the past five (5) years. You will need to provide

evidence of recency of practise of at least 3

months (full time equivalent) within the last 5 years.

So if I was you I would crack on and get in before July 01 like we are. That way you dont have to spend time and money doing the IELTS.

 14.

Well I have been spending all evening getting the documents copied so that we can get them certified next week. Lisa is on nights tonight and she is telling her boss and asking for a professional reference. Then next week we can send off for the ANMC. I have also told my brother tonight by text that we are not going to live near him in NSW but going to Queensland so will have to see how that goes down. I know what you mean by the good byes. Not looking forward to that one. We have had to put our leaving date back a few months as very good friends of ours have anounced that they are gettting married in December 2010. We were going in October 2010 so now we will go January 2011. I am still thinking of joining the MET police till then to give me a better chance of getting a position out there. You still thinking of SL?

Hi Lynne

How did the party go? Nervous yet?

JOHN

 16. Hi all I have a question: I am getting the paperwork together so that we can go to a solicitor next week to certify. The paperwork required for the QLD nursing council is the same as the paperwork required for the ANMC. So am I right in saying that once my wife has the ANMC statement of declaration,we just tell them to forward everything to QLD nursing council and then just send QLD the application form and fee? JOHN
 17. Spending the afternoon starting the long process to get to oz. I am filling in the forms for the ANMC. First hurdle: It states "Employment statement/s stating dates of employment for the past five (5) years. You will need to provide evidence of recency of practise of at least 3 months (full time equivalent) within the last 5 years. If your dates of employment are not on your professional reference and/or you have worked for different employers within the last 5 years, you will need to provide a statement that details the dates of employment as a registered nurse or midwife. This statement usually comes from Human Resources or Payroll at your organisation. We do not need information on your enrolled nursing or rates of pay". Am I right in saying that as long as my wife's manager says that she started "this date" and has been practising for at least 3 months, she wont need to go to HR to confirm this? JOHN
 18. My questions are: How long does the ANMC registration last for? Also if my wife applies for QLDNMC straight after but we dont plan to get to oz till the end of next year, can we just reapply next year or are we better of waiting till just before we go? Hope that makes sense! JOHN
 19.
Are you selling your house or renting? We are going to apply to the ANMC in August and apply for the Visa in January when Lisa has done a year.SL is lovely. It is very tranquil. We loved it. Perhaps if you have time between now and when you go we could meet up for a chin wag? No worries if you have not got time.

 20.
Hi Lynne. You off soon? Are you still thinking of living at springfield lakes? We may have to tap you up for some advice when you get there!

 21. Also I e mailed ANMC a few weeks ago and they said that they are bringing the IELTS as a requirement to applying. They hope to have it in place by july 2010. JOHN
 22.

Hi Steve & Gina

No we are still waiting for Lisa to do a years ecperience and then we will start. We are going to be starting the nursing skills assessment in May so that will be all done.

So how much more expensive is it to live? Horrendously? Wages? If its easier I can phone you for a chat?

let me know.

Hey you lot!

Hows it going? Have you both got jobs yet? Good/bad move? Home sick? Spill the beans!

LISA AND JOHN

 24.

Hi Lynnes

Lisa has still got to do her years experience so we are not looking to go till next year sometime. I am going to be putting in for a career break from about september 2010. That will give us enough time to save. You re going to the Mater? How far is that from where you are thinking of going? I know they offer a relocation package which sound good. Have you got a house to sell? Thats another thing is that is bugging me!
