Hi ,

I just lodged my Visa application thanks to your kind advices. Fingers crossed. Kindly tell me what are the medical tests that I should be doing? Is it just form 26EH & 60EH. What about the police report? Should I apply for them now or should I wait till I'm asked to? Also, is it only for the main applicant or should everyone (My wife & son) apply for them?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,

The requirements for the applicant and each of his/her dependents will be listed separately in your document checklist. For medicals, yes just take the 26EH and 160EH to an eHealth clinic and they'll take care of the rest.

Better to get your PCCs ready and if possible, front-load it. Good luck!

Hi,

Thought id join as ive also submitted my 176 visa application (Sponsorship from Victoria) this month, on 6th March, and have already been assigned a CO who has requested medicals & police checks!

Hi RC5,

That's good news. Do keep us posted :)

It'll be useful if you can add the timeline to your signature.

Hi all,

CO contacted us today and requested meds, police check and new passports (as those provided have expiration date less than 2 years).

So happy the things are moving on..

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this (i'll add a timeline later) but thought i'd join in the discussion.

I applied for my 176 with WA SS on 5th March, i haven't front loaded my PCC but have now applied for it and am still waiting for a CO...i'm getting impatient especially as those of you that also applied around this time are getting CO's!!

Just looking to book my medicals - i'm in the UK, has anyone managed to find a clinic that does a saturday session?

Has everyone provided everything they sent for their skills assessment to the diac also? The required info checklist didn't have quite a few things we had included (logbook, wage slips etc) just wondering if I should upload them anyway?

upload the documents nevertheless. the more evidence they have better it is.

Regards

Pradip

Did you lodge the 176? If yes, you can use the TRN number to get your Medicals done soon as CO's are being allocated fairly fast (3 to 4 weeks).

The best place would be the one that can get your results back the fastest :)

Yes, the "evidence for overseas work experience" is glaringly missing from the document checklist. Make one big pdf, keep it under 4MB, with all supporting docs for your work experience. The basic evidence such as tax returns, HR letters, a few payslips etc will do. Extended support documents don't hurt either :)

Also, from one of leanie's posts, there seems to be an upper limit of some 60 docs that one can upload. If you are uploading each doc by itself make sure you count first :)

Thanks everyone for the advice. I have uploaded log books and yearly appraisal forms. Spoke to the diac and they said to leave off the payslips as I am ex RAF so I have joining up and discharge papers, a refererence covering the first 10yrs of service (as some of the camps I worked have sadly closed down now, so I am unable to provide a reference from each camp) I also have a reference from my last camp covering the last 5 years so the full 15yrs are covered

They assured me they will ask for the wage slips if they want them, and I have no doubt they will

Got our medicals saturday and finally off on holiday tuesday (the first hol abroad in over 6 yrs!) so will check our application as soon as our plane touches down, hopefully our meds will be uploaded by then and police checks will be on the doorstep to upload!

Thanks again for the advice folks

Hi Helen,

1) When you fill out the 176 application, there is a field which asks for the State Sponsorship reference number. For Western Australia, I later came to know that it is the same as my WA SS application number so I could've put it in there, could be possible for Victoria as well. One thing to watch out is the processing time. Victoria is taking more than a couple of weeks to process and current timelines to get a CO for 176 are in the 3 to 4 week range. So if you can't provide SS by that time, your app will be at the mercy of the CO and may be rejected as he can make a decision solely based on the information provided at the time of lodging. It could be very likely, if you needed the 5 points from SS to get a total of 65. Please be extra careful with this pathway.

Check this thread to get an idea of Victoria's processing times: http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/140394-victoria-ss.html

I heard that you can do Victoria SS and Skills assessment (if required) in parallel.

2) Sorry, can't help you with this question. Better to check with AHPRA/DIAC. I can give you an example for a different occupation though. For Engineer's if their first degree is from a list of recognized universities, they'll still have to get their Skills assessed but usually it is much faster in processing time.

Good luck with your application!

Thank you toOZ2012. Just lodged the victoria SS today, hope to get the reply soon. guess I have to get the skill assessment done before applying the 176 online. am i right? many thanks. i am trying to figure out the appropriate process of the 176 application.

Kindly advise if the following process appropriate:

1. lodge the victoria SS application and while awaiting for the reply (as reference number required when applying 176)

2. request for the skill assessment to be done (have to be done anyway)

3. prepare all documents required (sorting out all docs), then lodge in the final 176 application

4. patientlt wait....

:biglaugh:thank for for the advise.... :animal-frog:

That looks right!

Regarding the skills assessment, did you check with Victoria/DIAC if they need that? I can't give you an exact answer as I am not familiar with AHPRA's process and their exemptions. If you are lucky enough, in that you don't need your skills assessed then you'll save a ton of time. Cheers.

My specialists medical report was uploaded and received onto the system on Monday but it still says health requirement outstanding on the status. OH and son went to finalised very quickly but mine just seems static - not referred or finalised. On the checklist it says the 2 medical forms are received and everything else is met. do you think it's just that HOC are taking ther time to review my medical? I've yet to actually hear from a CO which I'm assuming means they're happy with everything else.

Any ideas?

May be the number of people at HOC, who can assess specialist reports are not that many. Besides, it's only been 2 days so give it an extra day or two.

If other stuff is showing as MET then I would think that you have a CO and he/she is probably just waiting for your meds to be finalized to move to a grant. Fingers crossed for you.
