  1. I don't know if I can apply again or will they reject again. Somebody on this forum may be can guide me.
  2. Just few mins ago I received refusal notice from CO saying my application is invalid. She said I don't fulfil the basic criteria and that I did work but not enough for an accountant. I'm in state of shock. I don't know what to do. I don't know how to proceed from here. Please guide me and tell me what do I do now?
  3. Hi rr, Your case sound very much like ours. Our medical was cleared in June by CMO and we didn't hear anything back from our CO for five weeks. We kept emailing her but to no avail. And then all of sudden she asked for more employment evidence as she wasn't convinced about the duties I performed. Thus I reckon if it's taking that long, it is definitely something else and not the medical thing. The sorry state of affair is you can't do anything but wait for the CO to contact you though it might be worth asking him/her if they need anything else from your side. Good luck. Hope it works out soon for you and you get your grant soon
  4. You're Kidding me. My god, massive congratulations to you, what a relief! Set yourself loose now and have one heck of partyyyyyyyyyyy:jiggy:
  5. Hi Walvia, I'm not used to things coming easy my way , well least it seems so. Nope I didn't front-load the medicals and was asked by my CO to do it. However later on I got to know about verification so updated my signature. I was asked for further evidence of employment as they thought my duties had been exaggerated (wth). I'm astonished too, why things haven't worked out properly for me . But keeping hopes alive:). I have submitted my reply to the DIAC couple of weeks ago with as much evidence as possible and now just waiting. BTW I'm from India.
  6. Way to go! Congratulations..not long now
  7. Living at the Alexandra Heads at the moment..would say sunny coast is the best place to live in oz. Absolutely beautiful, laid back and exciting at the same time.
  8. Big congratulations to all who are granted their visa:ssign19: and good luck to all waiting:angel_happy_face_ha (including me).
  9. I don't understand this at all. After all those feel good emails by CO saying "we don't anything from you now" , "Your application should be finalized shortly", they came up with this. I somehow got in touch with my employer too and he said that interview went pretty well and he had explained too how I had performed those duties. I'm simply baffled by their attitude, it's like they are looking for an excuse not to grant it. Who could have thought I would boast of my duties at work place and DIAC would turn up and say ,' well you didn't do any of it '. What the hell:arghh:
  10. I know sh3, this is plain torture and inexplicable. I could have never imagined even in dream that they would come up with something like this. My CO sent me a pdf attachment saying that for one of my job (given), I have exaggerated the duties and I should comment and provide 'independently verifiable documents' as evidence. I don't know what exactly that would mean, but I am trying to get in touch with that employer (who's shifted his base to another city) and request him to give written statement that duties written in reference letter were actually performed. It is bit difficult though, being an associate accountant I used to prepare all reports and final accounts but my boss was the signing authority (who was CPA himself). Even then I'm going to send her as many work-related documents as possible and my own declaration as well explaining how I executed those duties in detail in full technical terms. Just hoping that would satisfy her as am not sure what else one could provide to prove 'exact duties performed'.
  11. I can't believe it. Received an email from CO about natural justice. They claim I have exaggerated my duties in reference letter and invited me to comment and provide further evidence. What the hell is this! After all this wait, this is what I get. I am so heartbroken and shattered ( though collecting all proofs of my previous work):embarrassed:. Any guidance/first-hand experience dealing with it would be appreciated.
  12. Hi westozlou, I reckon two nights should be enough though I have never heard of anybody leaving the shores and then getting back on the very next flight available . We are also awaiting decision on our 176. I don't think there is any standard timeframe for visas to be granted. My OH's medicals were referred and has been cleared about a month ago. Our CO told about four weeks ago that application is abut to be finalised but haven't heard back since. I'm also assuming if everything is well, we should get the visa any time now. PS-It's really strange though how your CO gave you exact date of when he/she's going to review your application (I wish mine does the same).
  13. Many congratulations:biggrin:!
  14. There is one more from march group waiting and that is me:chatterbox:
  15. I used to feel really tensed when I didn't now what's happening with my application as we were not told that medicals are referred. But once we found out we were relaxed that at least they were doing something. As for lasting that long and still continuing, we have no choice but to wait.:cute: I would go crazy at times and then come back to normal. I hope you guys won't have to wait that long but just in case you have to, simply don't wait for it. It'll be granted when the time is right (bit philosophical:rolleyes:). For some people like me, it's not that quick and easy.
  16. Hey Guys, All those whose medical is referred, don't lose heart. It's not about using an agent or not, if medical is referred to Commonwealth Medical Officer it'll take time (specially given their load and back-log of work). We applied in March and still waiting coz OH's medicals were referred (took almost two and half month) and finalized only last week. Keep your spirits high and tell your mind it might take time-so don't worry be happy.:jiggy:
  17. hey sharmagaurav, As you would have seen in my signature that visa subclass I've applied for is 176 which is an offshore visa application and bridging is issued only to bridge the gap between processing of new onshore visa application and expiry of your last onshore visa. Thus I'm not eligible for bridging visa. Two months time was the longest the Councillor at immigration office could provide us given we provide him with out-bound tickets which we did. Earlier it was sort of black out as we didn't know what's happening with our file but last week we got to know that OH's medicals were sent for further checks and it took around two months. So at least we know they were doing something on our application. Now that everything is done and referred, I think we are very close to the final grant. There is still more than month's time remaining before we fly out so keeping fingers crossed.
  18. I believe team 2 is slowest and the one where most medicals go referred ( so did my OH's). Ours is also team 2, OH's medicals were referred to Commonwealth Medical Officer and results have already been received by the department. I was pretty sure this is going to be our week too, but nope they always seem to prove me wrong whenever I'm anticipating 'the grant'. Let's see how the next week would be like.:angel_happy_face_ha
  19. I hope it does Millie. This waiting is taking its toll as I haven't slept for so many nights. I don't feel like doing anything and have stopped buying anything at all but basic necessity things like milk, bread and vegs. It's like life has come to a complete stop sign.
  20. Many congratulations from 'ghost of march team'
  21. Congratulations Ian!!

    CPA exam

Oh my my!! Are you taking service of any migration agent? What did he/she say? Did CPA say so on the assessment letter that work prior to this test will not be considered skilled experience? 'Coz, as far as I have heard and read, mostly all accountants, when they undergo assessment, are required to sit for one or two papers but it shouldn't mean any work prior to that was unskilled or unworthy.
  23. Congratulations...celebrations...woohoooo...Enjoy!!
