Hi all, how is your experience in finding a job in melbourne? I am planning to move to melbourne next year Feb, but still can not secure a nurse job before leaving. I have been sending out apllication a few times. Either there is no reply or application was rejected. I am just wondering if it is really difficult to find a job, eventhough with 12 years experiences in surgical nursing, registered with AHPRA, and obtained permenant visa. Any suggestions with the nursing agency? Many thanks Helen

Hi HOPE, I am in the same situation as you. When I obtained the AHPRA registration, the nursing recruitment agent told me, it was difficult to find a job without a visa for work. They suggested me to apply for PR first. Now I am in the process of applying 176 visa. Hopefully can find a job after visa granted. I dont know how to help you.. but, GOOD LUCK to us.
