We lodged on 6.03.12 and will be heading to Perth in September. Had medicals today and sent off for police checks last Saturday. I haven't uploaded form 80 as yet as I'd rather wait to see if they ask for it. I'm just hoping to get a case officer quickly but we'll see.

If I were you I'd do the form 80 anyway. We had a request to complete these once we had sent everything else they requested...we're on subclass 121 and someone else I know on a regional sponsor has been asked to do them. It'll save time in the long run. Mine for some reason have gone astray. Don;t really want to have to do it all again!

Medicals all done and my son's say finalised on the system. I imagine they're waiting for the blood test results for mine and my husband's. I don't expect to get the PCC back for another 10 days but I'm still hoping there's some slim chance of getting the visa by the end of the month. Unlikely I know but there's always a chance!

We're going to the expo on 25th march to get info about possible jobs, shipping, banking etc. anyone else going?

Hi, we applied for WA SS on 6th March and still waiting for the outcome. Hopefully we'll hear back in the next few days so can do the main application. I have all the docs ready :o)

Things must have been slowing down over at WA SS. I submitted on 13th and then called them to update something and they mentioned they received a lot of e-mails, probably from people wondering why it is taking longer these days.

Anyway, you should have yours soon enough. Too bad, there is no online status check.

I don't seem to have a case officer (at least I don't think so) but I'm not sure how else the medical for my son would say finalised. I am a nurse though and have heard that we get priority processing in a lot of cases. I uploaded all my supporting docs the day I submitted the application but they all still say 'required'. That was leading me to think I didn't have a CO

I think the Medicals are finalized by HOC (Health Operations Centre). On the other hand, some say that your CO needs to do something so that some of details on your medical forms are pre-filled?

If you have the message on your status which reads 'Application being processed further', then you have a CO...

I don't have a CO in that case. The medicals have obviously just been processed by the HOC. It was a bit of wishful thinking. There just doesn't seem to be any clear time schedule with any of this and it's just a waiting game!

Out of interest, I'm hoping to eventually work at the Fiona Stanley hospital in Perth when it opens. Anyone got any opinions on nice suburbs to live nearby with a small child (he's 15 months now)? I've been looking at Kardinya, Leeming, Murdoch (we've got friends living in Murdoch). Any thoughts? I don't want a long commute as I'll probably work full time initially and I want to still be able to hang out with my boy after work. I'll probably be working at the shenton park campus of royal Perth for the first 12 months so could always live somewhere more convenient for there and then move closer to Murdoch nearer the time. So much to think about!

Yes fingers crossed. I just hate all the waiting! Waiting for the skills assessment, waiting for the IELTS results, now this! I did call them yesterday and she said processing time is 1-2weeks, should be soon.

Biting finger nails...

Applying for Vic SS as ICT Security Specialist then a 176 and a move to Melbourne.

Wrote 17,000 word RPL for the ACS - the migration agent said it was good after asking for 3 additional sections so pulled an all nighter!

Migration agent pro forma filled out for Vic SS so waiting on both of these to be submitted at same time by the agent. They are never as quick as you'd like but they seem calm enough.

With Easter in the way couldn't book IELTS until 21 April - need a 7 in each band but a tutor I spoke to said not to worry, pah!

As I'm 40 in August too having palpitations daily as I really want it all in by July 1.

If anyone want tips on the ACS RPL happy to help - 15 years in IT.
