jpzante
quick question, I applied without any dependents, will I be requested to fill-out form 80?
virtual_bajwa
I woudln't think DIAC is going to process any offshore Grp 5 before they finish Grp 5 onshore. There are still atleast 10,000-15,000 applications remaining to be processed in Grp 5 onshore so will have to wait and watch what sort of priority processing kicks in after 1st July 2012. Processing of offshore category 5 applicants is nothing to do with processing of category 5 onshore. Onshore is processed at Brisbane while offshore is processed at Adeleide. Onshore and offshore can go side by side. I was the case in category 4 onshore and offshore. But category 4 onshore completed earlier but category 4 offshore still has applicants to be processed but not much. So fingers crossed. virtual_bajwa
Virtual Bajwa things seem to have quietened down. No one on any of the site is talking about getting a CO or visa today. I want to know one thing here that how many number of applicants are there in category 4 offshore in month of October, November and December? Can you get the number from anywhere... Please try to get that number. As this will ensure what will be next update. It looks like as if there are no more applicants in October and can not say anything about November.. Guest fatwu
quick question, I applied without any dependents, will I be requested to fill-out form 80? hi, jpzante. As Form 80 is not a compulsory form, it depends on whether your CO wants it. Some CO might ask you to submit it while others not. FYI, I have front-loaded FORM 80, though I am also a sole applicant. jpzante
Thank you fatwu. I might prepare form 80 then. - John Paul http://towardsaustralia.blogspot.com Chronicles of my Independent Skilled Migration Application to Australia

Angela Stevens
October 31st applicant and still no CO. Booked medicals for 24th of this month and just posted PCC this morning. On hold until next week and unable to check my status until I get back...bit frustrating! My husband has known medical complaint and we are expecting mess to be referred...what are timelines for approval? GP would not give letter until requested by Spire and Consultant on hold. Anyone know of additional timescales for contact to Consultant for medical history? Feels like this is all such hard work at mo!
Guest mandhani
Hi, Can anyone please let me know when exactly employment verification happens. Is it after all documents were received and checked by CO and before PCC/medical request? virtual_bajwa
There are very few applicants in December,January and February in category 4 offshore. But there are some average number of applicants in March April months... so fingers crossed for category 5 offshore processing. It will be a great movement if this friday update shows start of November 2011.
