Yes Birmingham... They have more panel docs than other place, therefore more appointments to offer. Where are you heading for yours?

Your're correct. I did call them yesterday to know the date availability. It seems they conduct tests every day

Thanks hev. Two months for pcc's what's that about?? You'd think nz is closer to Oz it'd be quicker lol! How's that gone down with your co? Is there anyway you can get it speeded up - pay more, get them to scan and email before they post??

Have you had to fill the 80 form in as well because you've had time in nz? I suspect I might be asked to do it as I wasn't born in the uk (parents in the forces) although my birth was registered in Scotland when I was a few months old... This whole process is mind boggling!!! I can't help panicking it's in my nature  lol!!!

Fingers crossed your checks come through quicker...

I know -tell me about it! The first thing the our agent said to us is "don't expect it to make sense, or you won't understand it"! So we've been using that rule all the way through. I'm not sure who your agent is but from your posts I've gathered that they've given you similar info to what we've been told. I forgot to say before that DIAC will not acknowledge that they've received the 1100 so getting a CO is when you'll know that they have (silly I know! so refer to the rule).

As for NZ pcc I've just sent them scanned copies with an email pleading for them to process them asap as some one posted on PIO that I could do that. Trouble is that route is for Christchurch residents so I feel guilty. Needs must and all that. I've left it to the agent to tell the CO

I don't think I have to do form 80 although I did start it but would rather not have to complete it. I really feel for you if you have to do that. I've replied to your query about specialist reports on t'other thread, hope it's of use.

Anyway bedtime is calling, I can't stay up all night hoping that NZ ministry replies to me!

Night night, and don't panic too much :wubclub: (a little is good, keeps us on our toes!)

Thanks for the info Perth !

Going to try them today ( fingers crossed )....... OH not back till end of June :daydreaming: so if we can't do meds.....I will be wishing that we don't get a Co for abit :swoon:never thought i would be saying that !

Hi travels, I was about to ask how you're doing as I hadn't seen any posts from you for a while but I guess not too good from your above post?? I don't know which way would be best to contact Adelaide. I've seen posts on here saying that if you phone you could be on hold for a while but you should get an answer and if you email you may have to wait a few days until they reply. Are you able to contact your CO about it? We've done our meds but still waiting for them to be sent - should be in the next few days.

Hope you get hold of Adelaide. x

Hi, Sure can, it's because I spent a total of 14 months in New Zealand during the 10 year period prior to lodging the visa.

Does anyone know how long it will take for DIAC to acknowledge the form and allocate a case officer? Or is it a case of waiting until the 6wks are up before contacting the DIAC to ask them about the status? I know it might be like asking how ling is a piece of string but I'm getting more and more impatient!

Hiya

They don't acknowledge, but WA send you an email saying that they have received your signed agreement and that they have confirmed your sponsorship with DIAC directly, as below:.

Skilled Sponsored ( Subclass 176 Skilled - Sponsored (Migrant) ) STATE SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION

Application Reference Number: xxxxxxxxxxx

Thank you for your signed State Sponsorship Agreement.

This e-mail is to inform you that we have received your agreement and confirmed state sponsorship with DIAC on your behalf.

Enquiries regarding your visa application should be directed to DIAC. You are able to track DIAC's processing of your visa at http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/general-skilled-migration.htm#d.

Yours sincerely,

Skilled Migration Western Australia

Department of Training and Workforce Development

The CO allocation process starts from the day you receive that e-mail....we received that email confirmation on 24/02 and CO assigned on 09/03. So chasing DIAC depends on whether you've had that e-mail or not?

WA SS applied 31/12/2010 - approved WA SS 14/02/2011 - 176 lodged 19/02/2011 - CO assigned 09/03/2011 - Meds booked for 29/03/2011

Hey Perth, I'd give it 6 weeks at least before contacting DIAC. My agent warned me that they don't like to be contacted unless applicants are certain that there is a problem with their application. It took 4 weeks for us to be assigned a CO after WA confirmed they had sent the 1100. Hang on in there, your doing really well. I'm sure your CO will be along soon now they've received the form

I've found out today that NZ police checks are taking about 2 months, not the news I really wanted to hear right now :nah:. So we're all waiting for something

Two months for police checks....they haven't got half the population to check the records for that the UK system has to go through  the fact that you can't do much about speeding it up is most frustrating....keep it together!

WA SS applied 31/12/2010 - approved WA SS 14/02/2011 - 176 lodged 19/02/2011 - CO assigned 09/03/2011 - Meds done 29/03/2011 - PCC received 30/03/2011 - waiting for meds to be processed...

A bit random....but are most of you putting your house on the market once you've had your CO allocated?

Cheers WAhopeful!! Yep we had that email last week after I called WA to ask where the form was. So another few weeks till we get a co then!! Oh well I'll not bother checking the status of our application tonight then lol!!

In answer to your follow on post, yes as soon as we have co the estate agents will be booked!!

Have a feeling that a few of you will get your visa's tomorrow, last day of the month and all surely they have to get x amount of visas out a month to match the quotas!??!! Everything crossed for you!

Cool, you're probably days away from your CO...surely you are at the top of the pile!

The meds take 7 days to process and then however long it takes for them to send it to Oz and reach our CO....Co to process.....so probably a realistic month away at the very least.

Gives us time to start thinking about putting the house on the market.....patient times:v_SPIN:

Download your life onto form 80....I wasn't born in UK and had to fill it in. Not great if you have travelled a lot in the last 10 years....another afternoon crossed out of your life but it will all be worth it at the end.....:notworthy:

Let's hope so coz we all know I don't do waiting very well... After all I am a woman who like most, when I want something i want it now lol!!!

House on the market that's not moving might be a long process - plus the bloke across the road has had a repo and his house is in the Market for £25k less than he bought it!! Joy!!

Not sure what we will do about the house really we have talked about taking a drop in price just so we have money for oz.

Bummer! I looked at that form and thought I'd not know where to start on travel.. Possible month maybe yr but day forget it! It's an awful form, but yes I think youre right at least if I get it filled in ready in case they want it. I downloaded it a bit ago and sent it to the hubby's email and told him to save it just in case!! That's tomorrow morning taken care of then!

Brides it's ok if you can afford to... If we put our house on the Market for the same price as over the road we will be at least £20k out of pocket plus the selling/legal fees! That's what I'm dreading the stupid price they will suggest... Whoever we go with we will have a sale price cut off.... I just hope we dont have the house on the Market forever...afterall we live in a village - we found it by mistake... We just kept driving one day and stumbled across it!

We had our meds at Manchester and yesterday and I've just logged onto DIAC and a number of sections have already been updated ! Dr Smith has suggested that it all should be finalised within a week ! Its all going toooo fast now !

176 submitted, Police checks done and now meds sorted .... Its time to site back and relax (without checking these forums 30 times a day to see what's happening !)

See you all in Perth sometime soon !

AW how special does your house sound !

I have noticed alot of houses for sale down here and sold signs (mind don't know the prices they went for in the end)

The prices here are all over the place down here . Guess we will see what the estate agent says :swoon:mind think we need to buy paint and brushes and do a littlebit of work:biglaugh:

Sat down the other day and tried to work out how much we would need to live for a year ie rent ect ..thats without a job .

could be done ..would be a stretch though ..all depends if OH gets accepted for vol redun...... or he bites the bullet and hands his notice in and gets them to give early release .

:hug:hope there are a few Co's or visas heading to a few peeps today

Glad to hear your area has sold signs dotted around. None of them here just for sale or to let :-( well I hope we break that and get sold sign and money in the bank!
