Steve2
Hi allI need to inform immi of my new passport details. Anyone have any idea if I just send them an email or is there more to it than that. Thanks Lisa Hi Lisa When we changed our passports I emailed immi and they asked for colour scanned copies to be emailed, they didn't want form 929 although the website mentions that form. Good luck Steve
Lisa Lou
Hi Lisa there is more to it than that, you need to complete another form, Form 929 Change of Passport form - https://www.border.gov.au/Forms/Documents/929.pdf I didn't think it would be that straight forward but was hoping it would be. Thanks very much for your help Lisa

kath1689
hang on in there Maisie. Hi Fisher. I was looking through thread and noticed your signature. That you were in 103 queue, submitted a 143 in Jan and did those other tasks in Feb. I am in similar boat except have parents coming out of 804queue and have submitted a 143. I'm just wondering did IMMI ask you to do the police check and form 80 so quickly after your 143 application or was that your own initiative? Its good to see someone else with lodgement date around ours. We can keep an eye on each other's progress or lack of it at this early stage. We have decided to bite the bullett and sell up and go out in November on a 12 month tourist visa . We plan to travel around a bit before visa grant and enjoy those few months off work. We know it's a gamble as there are no guarantees but just can't wait to get there. Keep in touch Lisa

We had been told by several people that they took into account the time you had already been waiting in the other queue, but it took them about 9 weeks to acknowledge our 103 application so we thought this would be the same. Our daughter sent the papers in with a bankers cheque for the first vac and it was only a week or so before we got the acknowledgement of the 143 application, then very quickly the request came for form 80, Mexicans and police checks. We couldn't arrange the medicals till the HAP number came from immi, but if I we're you I'd do the police checks and fill in form 80 now, if you haven't already done it. Good luck! ljwalvin
Hi guys, My mum lodged a 143 visa on 9 Jul 2014 and is with me I'm Aus at the moment. She is due to leave the country in May but will be back again in early June. I understand that it's taking up to 23 months for a case officer to be appointed at the moment. As such, I was wondering if there was anyone that could advise on how long the case officer would take to approve her visa-I'm also thinking of getting medicals etc done early for her to avoid having to pay for another flight. Also, would I be able to get an appointment with Centrelink before her being appointed a case officer? I'm guessing not. Any input would be helpful. Thanks
AlanSteel
Talking about Mexicans.....sorry medicals, I found a template that you might find useful, when contacting your doctor this end, asking for copies of your medical records. And for those planning when should I ask, they are obliged to action your request in 40 days max. Dear Sir or Madam Subject Medical Records Access Name, DOB, previous address, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Please supply the information about me I am entitled to under the Data Protection Act 1998 relating to my personal medical records. If you need any more information from me, or a fee, please let me know as soon as possible. It may be helpful for you to know that a request for information under the Data Protection Act 1998 should be responded to within 40 days, however, I am due to emigrate to Australia on 30th May 2016, and would ask if you can consider completing these as soon as possible please? I only require a paper version of my records please. I will call in to collect my records, once you can confirm that they are ready for collection. If you do not normally deal with these requests, please pass this letter to your Data Protection Officer. Cheeky Rascal
Hi Maisy Daisy I've noticed your timeline of events there and they're not much different to our mother in laws who is back in the UK waiting for her case officer. She submitted her application in the 11 April 2014, has had her health checks and police checks but still no word from IMMI at all. Any advice? I'm not sure what you can advise. Is there some way of contacting IMMI. I hope you receive yours very soon. It's an awful wait!!

My parents have various documents from specialists etc, but will they also need to get the paper records from their GP, or is the template for when you emigrate and want to bring across your medical history? Thanks for the template - it will be very useful!! Thanks :cute:

Thanks :cute: Hi Moomin, we have only asked for paper copies, but having spoken to our doctors, should more be needed, we just write in and ask (once paid for) they will send. At our doctors, we can also purchase if required electrical views. Paper for us we think. but bases covered if they need more in Oz.
