Thanks atleast some good news from your side for 475. I applied on October 11, 2008, everything met accept job verification (I think), still not hearing anything from them.

COs don't ask the fee but any agents whom you may have asked help from to process your visa. Or did you change to another visa type so you had to pay again?

June 09 - Online appl lodged (475)

July 09 - Medicals done and set to Aus (Except Xray for my wife due to pregnancy)

Sep 09- Babies born (Twins) - Requested for the inclusion of babies.

Jan 10 - Babies' Medicals & Wife's Xray done and sent.

05.02.10 - Wife's medicals finalised

 

All documents showing 'Met" Except

1. Babies 'Health requirements outstanding'

2. Wife's IELTS - 'Requested (But she has already done IELTS and sent)

 

I am from a HR Country. My current employer has not received verification call so far.

 

Can anyone guess on my appl status? (475 Visa)

you should contact now your current employer to know about the case of a call from CO for verification on you by provide you boss some information which may be CO wants to check for instance your full name, your function in your company....

wish you receive a good news from CO for visa grants soon. i am also 475, submitted to DIAC on 29 Jun 09, family sponsorred, submitted in paper thru agent, applied upon finance manager...until now i am waiting for CO assessment. How about your career is?

If u have provided them good evidence of ur employment then they dont check ur employer. Ur name says that u r from HR. So they may do some internal checks.

 

U would get visa in at the most three weeks. Shaman recently got visa after his status changed to met.

 

Plz tell me how much time ur internal/external checks took.

Thanks again. I applied through an agent. I got the TRN number in the September (2009) month only. Online status showing 'met' (Evidence of employment) from ever since I started checking online. It might have shown 'internal checking required' during June - September. I dont know.

This is interesting. I got an overall band 7 also in IELTS. However, I got a band score of 6.5 for writing. Can I make an appeal also even if I took the exam last October 2008? If so, where can I go to have it appealed?

Don't give up.

Speaking and writing parts of IELTS test are appealable. If you got 6.5 for speaking you could have appealed the result and your chances for success are very high. Trust me. They can reassess the mark up to 1 point.

I did it once and won and I'm currently waiting for my second appeal results.

On my online status, the "evidence of work experience" was marked as met. However, the "specific work experience" was marked as not applicable. I have no idea why. I sent several PLE and emails to my previous CO to ask what does that means. I haven't received any reply though.

Sorry but may I know what is IGIS? Can I check in here to know if I am indeed under internal checking also? Coz after I submitted form80 which my CO asked last May 2009, she didn't communicate to me again. I guess you are right that maybe she requested for my application to undergo internal checking. I can't see on the first page of my status online the word internal checking outstanding, only health requirements outstanding. But in my document checklist, police clearance was marked as required even though I submitted already my PC.

I see, it's realy hurting waiting. I'm in the same position right now - have been waiting for these checks since August 2009.

 

Have you complained to IGIS? Sometimes they give interesting facts about such timescales. Like, checks might have been finalised long ago but DIAC have not taken the results into account yet. Or even file missing.

 

Hope we all get rid of this "check waiting" soon.
