Hi Harters, yes I recieved my SS on the 14th of June. I applied in Jan. It took about five months. Waiting times really coming down now it seems. Tim

Thanks for the update Tim, do you know of any others. My application went in on the 1st Feb and the 176 went in on the 8th April ( I think....can't remember the exact date and I've banned myself from checking the DIAC site)

Hi Everyone, well in 2 days time the SMP for WA should be out hopefully and we will see alot more Blues and Purples, its far to quiet at the mo, we need something to cheer about.

I really hope they are not going to delay it till Sept 1st like the NT.

Someone has called WA and they said that the online application sys for SMP would only be up by 15 July. So far, no one has any confirmed date from WA on the release of the SMP except that it could perhaps be on 15 July.

 

I do hope it appears tomorrow too.

Thanks for that, i noticed our thread had moved to page 4 so i bumped it back up again. Been waiting patiently for news and for the 1st of july and now feel i'm going to be disappointed but hey whats new with this visa process.

Hello all

 

Sorry I haven't been on to see how you are all doing !

 

Tim has taken 3 weeks unpaid holiday so he can get the house finished ready to put on the market !

So I am out the house by 8:30 and not returning until 5 ready for dinner then straight out to work so no time to go online !

 

I am adding this via my mobile which will only let me see a few posts at a time so not really sure who has what at the moment !

 

Have had a chat to a few people on here and am aware that the new WA list comes out Tomorrow !

WA list coming out tmr? The last info we heard is WA SMP would be out 15 July (tentative). And that is not even a confirmed date. Nonetheless, i'll be glad if its out tmr!

p.s. why didn't everyone also included the date of the PR application? Sometimes it may be very distant from the date of the SS approval. I, for example, received SS in July 2009 but only applied for Pr in November 2009. In some other cases some people applied for PR in 2008 with a 175 and only requested and received SS a year later and then switched to a 176: in this case, how would they be placed in the first-come first-serve queue from DIAC? As being 2008 applicants or 2009 applicants?

Hi everyone, so sorry that I haven't posted on here for such a long time. I've become more of a reader than a contributor recently.

 

Anyway, I just wanted to wish all of us Dinosaurs who have had our SS for nearly a year now good luck. Hopefully with the new SOL being officially released today that will mean that the CSL has gone and things may start moving for us all again ..... I'm desperate to be PURPLE!!!

Well i don't know about anyone else but i feel like i've had a real smack in the face. Why do they say they are bringing out changes, new lists then don't or you have to wait longer? I'm getting fed up of people asking me now when i'm going to OZ because i don't have a clue. I really feel i'm messing the children about and starting to loose my own sanity. The whole process is really starting to bog me down, and making me wonder why we started this in the first place.

First off congrats on getting past the first stage.

 

Secondly, out of interest were there any special circumstances such as age in relation to your application? I am one of a few who applied within the couple of months before you did and am curious whether I need to keep an eye on my e-mails. I have set myself a target of mid-September to hear news on my SS application but if I can expect to hear sooner I will look to begin my online application with DIAC in anticipation to having my SS number sooner.

Im off to watch my favourite DVD " The Secret " It helps me re-focus in times like these. Failing that I will watch my best football comedy clips which include Scotlands footballing triumphs. ( This one only lasts about 2 minutes )

I totally agree, I am exhausted today with reading soooooo many posts and now I can't remember what I've read or where I've read it! Just feel so warn out, one minute there seems to be some hope or good news then something happens and it's back to square one! We're the same as you with people asking any news, have been saying waiting for new list, should know more 1st July and now well who bloody knows! We are just so in Limbo we were planning a trip to Oz for Christmas again this year then we thought no we'll wait for July and now well no idea what to do so think I might suggest a beach holiday to try and relax and at least have something nice to look forward to!!

We have been told its not what you know its who you know so keep in touch and good luck to you, lets hope we get moved to cat 2 and processed too.
