Jazzcrave
This morning I have been requested from the agent the "original non translated police clearance" my application was dated back 11th Aug 15. What's the point for such request when they ask to pay a proper registered authorized certified translator? Finger crossed.... May be ur case officer is from your country

alvinmoe
I don't know either. NSW team seemed to be the slowest team. @Ali369829 and @alvinmoe my MA said they are doing sep files and will take for me to give decision by end of march I applied on 14th sep. Not sure who is right

Jersey Beans
We have just had our visa approved. We did our medicals upfront and took surgery results and letters from our oncologist as we had both received a cancer diagnosis since arriving in Australia. I really cant believe they didn't ask for any further documents. To say i'm relieved is an understatement! All our details are below and I've updated the spreadsheet, hopefully it's the right version  Nom 27/08/15 Visa 31/08/15 Nom & Visa approved 02/03/16 TRT LR Vic processing centre Mining production mananger

alvinmoe
I have to agree it's so slow. I am also not sure how they process it. Some LR and HR with the same timeline got approval. Some still waiting. Anyway keep my fingers crossed. NSW does seem to be the slowest. I'm a July application and I have the NSW team
24July2015
I was with IMAN as well and I just changed to medibank without calling IMAN. I'm no longer on visitors/temporary resident health insurance because I have an interim medicare card. @Ali369829 and @alvinmoe my MA said they are doing sep files and will take for me to give decision by end of march I applied on 14th sep. Not sure who is right
Mark2016
@Jazz .You are right. Can not force you to stay with. Also once You get Medicare card you have to cancel iman because is only for 457 visa holder. If you ring and tell you have Medicare card they will cancel straight away if you want to have private insurance they will advise the NIB (owns Iman). That's the false news you should have iman until you get PR.once you get Medicare card no longer eligible Medicare Levy exemption. Along with Medicare card if you want to have private health insurance with discount you have to apply Medicare rebate certificate you have to go to Medicare office request they will issue straight away with you get some discount for private health insurance. I did same also work the field

Jersey Beans
WOW! Congratulations!!! This is great news, especially to people with medical problems. Thank you, I still can't quite believe it. I think I've read our grant letters about ten times, just to make sure it's all approved! The doctor that carried out our medicals said that the decision would really be based on the letters from our oncologist, unless they required further clarification. It does play on your mind though and I've spent many a month wondering what else they might want. My advice to anyone applying with medical conditions is take as much information with you to your medical. Get letters from your specialists outlining your condition, treatment and prognosis.
