I was asked for more info and 28 days later got a call from my CO for more clarification. Had a week to supply the info. Then almost 4 weeks later I got the approval. I don't think they follow a pattern. especially NSW...:nah:

I applied for my visa and went on a cruise overseas a couple of months later. If your 457 is still valid the bridging visa doesn't kick-in until your 457 expires: (Copied directly from bridging visa) "About your bridging visa: This bridging visa is not in effect because your Temporary Business Entry visa is currently ineffect."

My PR has been approved!! Finally! After 250 days; 8 months and 6 days! Finally I can rest easy :laugh:

Asked for my academic transcript aka. the file that shows the years you studied and which subjects you took. It shows you were a full time student for the number of years listed.

Asked for proof that I studied for 5 years in English (which I supplied with my application). Sent the info again. Wasn't enough to prove that I had studied 5 years so they asked for my academic transcript. Still waiting!!!

8 months today since I applied! All immigration can say is my case is being assessed!! The waiting is really getting to me!!!!!! (Been asked for more information twice, last time 10/03/16)

Right! Phew! Lol, I think it was exactly 28 days after I submitted the documents. I think they only check after 28 days if you had actually submitted the documents (ie. when your time is up).

I submitted proof of 5 years of study to get the eng exception and she needed clarification & asked for medical. Today wanted more info about my language and I submitted my academic transcript.

Not necessarily but I would think there is a good chance. My nomination was approved in NSW and my CO is from NSW

She didn't say when. When I said I would upload the additional info today she asked when and I said in the next 10 min. Which I did. She sounded surprised/ happy that I was going to upload so quickly. So hopefully I get an answer soon!

:arghh:Asked for more information regarding language by CO (28 days after first additional information submitted). Hopefully CO finishes processing my application today!!! (Spoke to CO over the phone...)

I was with IMAN as well and I just changed to medibank without calling IMAN. I'm no longer on visitors/temporary resident health insurance because I have an interim medicare card.

NSW does seem to be the slowest. I'm a July application and I have the NSW team

Unfortunately that's not the case. As soon as you apply for a 186 visa you are eligible for medicare which means you can no longer claim back the medicare levy.
