Hi,

You might want to check my details as well.

Hi @Mohh,

Wow, best of luck. Now I am wondering why I did not get any updates? Are you from high risk country? Are there any ranking or priorities in 186 visa.

Thanks

Thank you. Good luck to you too. I am from Iran and it is marked as "Countries with low risk of tuberculosis" on immigration website. I wish I knew about ranking or priorities! unfortunately sometimes it looks like random.

Hi all,

I have a lodged application for 186 DE in WA.

The case officer has requested to provide any licence or registration to work as an Engineering Technologist (Mining) 😨.  Any similar experience because as far as I know registration is not required for engineering technologists. He says " Alternatively, provide evidence that you do not need to hold registration or a licence to work in the nominated occupation."

What kinda evidence is needed/enough to prove that?

I had a similar situation, though I applied through other occupation. The Department requested evidence for registration. I provided the letter from my employer stating the the role I'm working in does not require compulsory registration. This seemed to be enough as my visa's been granted

Good luck!

Hello Folks,

I’ve few questions If someone knows please do answer those so we can clear our concerns...

1- As the current processing time for 186 DE is 6 months and if unfortunately I didn’t receive any update from Immigration dept so should I ask my MA to contact them as 6 months are already gone according to website ??

2- I heard that If we call Immigration to know the current status of the application then they used to delay more than the usual processing time or put the file further down in queue???

I would really appreciate It someone can answer above questions.....

Nomination & Visa Applied: 7 Dec 2019

State: NSW

According to my MA the status is still Received...

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing ok and that your visa apps continue during these Difficult  times.
I was looking for advice on 186 visa. Boyfriend’s previous employer In Melbourne has said he is willing to sponsor him on 186 but he’s never done it before. He’s a small construction business. Do you know how complicated it is for the sponsor and if we will need a migration agent , and if you used one do you have any recommendations?

thank you and good luck everyone
