Pommie679
Hello everyone, this is my first post so please be kind as these probably seem like silly questions but I can’t find an answer anywhere online.. I’ve received an invitation from NSW to lodge Subclass 190 for Program or Project Administrator role My questions are as follows: 1 - I’m concerned about the current economic climate in Australia and securing employment. What if I can’t secure employment in a role for Program or Project Administrator - am I able to take any job; PA or bar work for example? 2 - Would this have any effect on me remaining in Australia if I didn’t gain employment in the specific role? 3 - Medical and police checks – I noticed on another thread that birth certificates are required for this - if so I will need to apply for a new one as I have no idea where mine is . What other standard documents are required please? Many thanks in advance for any advice.
DT55
Hi. On a 190 you can work in any occupation you like. All the docs you need are the ones you mentioned as far as I am aware
Marisawright
Once you've got your visa, there's no obligation to work in any particular occupation.
Pommie679
Many thanks indeed for speedy replies which are very reassuring. Just to clarify gaining work in any sector/role then wouldn’t have any effect on me remaining in Australia when/ if applying for PR?

A 190 is a PR visa. You need your birth certificate to apply for the visa itself.

Once you have the visa, it doesn't matter what you do. You don't have to work if you don't want to and can afford not to. You can retrain, start a business or anything else. A 190 is a full permanent visa.
