Harpodom
Come the next General Election we could both be happy, me because the Tories are still in power, and you because it is Turnbull as PM, though always worrying that Scott Morrison (Abbott "Heavy") might launch a coup. TBH I'd rather Turnbull than Shorten (who I think would be almost as inept at Abbott) but I'd much rather Albanese than Turnbull. I hope to god Scott Morrison NEVER becomes PM
Parley
Apparently Malcolm Turnbull is very good looking. Women find him gorgeous. So he is a shoo-in to win.
Harpodom
So he basically hates his sister because she is gay? How did he manage to pass his degrees, especially the Rhodes scholarship one without reading books? Do you not think it strange that he wished to deny his own sister the right to marry? As for the Rhodes scholarship, I think that had a lot to do with who he knew, eg Dyson Heyden (is that his name?) and I suspect that Pell or someone high up in the catholic church pulled some strings. To be fair you make it sound like its Abbotts fault, parties shouldn't let the press force them in to making these changes.
flag of convenience
Just have to tighten my belt. Maybe I DO qualify for benefits too?!?! Although I'm sure you'd prove a man of principle and refuse point blank socialist inspired benefits. The street would be a preference surely? At least no armed take overs by the military forces as of yet. Of course if the Pacific Peso does come into being the armed forces may be attempted to reproduce a Guatemalan type military coup. BacktoDemocracy
He had some redeeming features, like being a volunteer 'firie' and basically a 'bloody bloke', but TBH in my mind, even his redeeming features betrayed an insecurity with his masculinity which manifested itself in overdoing the macho stuff. Loyal to his friends though, fat lot of good that did him! He is basically a white bread conservative catholic with a gait like a chimp, who felt threatened by women, gays, foreigners (people who 'speak funny'), environmentalists, scientists, atheists, asylum seekers, Muslims, young people, intelligent people, people who read books. 'Nuff said. You forgot blokes in pink shirts.

No, I feel sorry for them, being denied benefits and housing because we have to pay and house all the extra asylum seekers we are taking in. Guest
Harpo, I know this is not so fresh anymore but I think I found a way to express my feelings. Thanks to a trip round the local hardware store looking for one of these. No longer will I live in fear of our toilet bowls overflowing with crap! Apply the same to the my political senses being affronted. Expunged. That pretty much sums it up. Yeah
Danny842003
Then they should act in statesman like ways and not follow the populist path where the press proves more than a little useful. Times have changed politicians need to change with them. They are scrutinised in ways they never were in the past. Im not saying Abbott got everything right but simply changing the prime minister every 12 months doesn't help anyone really.

Just shows how fraught it must be at the top. Not forgetting we are in a far worse state than any politician will let on. At least in public.
