Hi All,

I have received deley e-mail today! Below is a copy for your reference.

Waiting continuous...

************************************************************************************************

"Your application for a subclass 189 visa is nearing finalisation. You are not required to provide any further documents.

Kindly refer to the information below and rest assured that the case will be finalised as soon as practicable:

I am writing to you regarding your application for an Australian skilled visa (subclass 189).

The Migration Programme determines the maximum number of visas that can be granted in each visa category. Applications for this visa category are processed in line with Migration Programme planning levels. These planning levels have precedence over indicative client service standard timeframes.

The Migration Programme planning level for this category now has limited number of places left for the 2014-15 program year. This means processing times will be longer and that once the remaining places are used, the Department cannot grant further visas in this category during this programme year.

As planning levels affect all applications, including those in the final stages of processing, I cannot give you an indication as to the likely timeframe for finalisation of your application.

In the meantime, I encourage you to continue checking the department’s website (www.immi.gov.au) for any updates regarding application processing or changes to the Skilled Migration Programme which may affect you.

I appreciate your patience in this matter."

Looking for a bit of advice.

My CO only asked for police checks and medicals, we uploaded the police checks and had our medicals last Tuesday, I haven't heard anything back from them which I hear is good news.

I haven't had the delay mail but am assuming that I will get it soon.

Anyway my question is that it looks like we're going to exchange contracts on our place very soon, do you think it's safe to get my stuff shipped before I get my visa. Do you think it's right to still be cautious and store them in the UK until I get my visa, or shall I trust that everything looks to be ok and send them anyway. We want to move the start of September and would really like our belongings there when we get there. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

oh it is tricky one.

I would like to have my staff in place when we will arrive too, so I understand you.

We are going to send everything around two months before our arrival date and store them in Oz until we will find house for us. However, we do have different situation because we are not in rush so we can manage it after visa will be granted.

I would wait until visa will be granted. Just in case.

On the other hand you may take the risk and send your belongings. In case of worst scenario just pay once again for sending stuff back.

Decision is up to you :)

Hi, my husband 33 yrs, myself 36 yrs and 2 kids 7 yrs and 4 yrs are currently living in Redcliffe. We moved out on a 457 temp visa nearly 2 years ago from Birmingham and will be applying for a 186 visa soon. Redcliffe is a fantastic place to live, so central to everything, only 30mins to the city, 1 hour to sunny coast and 1 hour to the Gold Coat. Good luck with your visa and move. If your ever in Redcliffe we could catch up.

Had contact from CO requesting more information on my son; I am including my 19 year old in my application and they are looking for evidence of financial dependency, study and work. I did include all this in my application, but have resent it and added in some extra bills - fingers crossed!!

Hello Friends,

We have lodged our visa on 16th April with all the documents, and medicals & PCC on 21st April. I have seen through the spreadsheet and this forum that many people those who have lodged after us have got delay mail or got CO allocated. We have neither been allocated CO nor received delay mail yet.

Please seniors can you guide me what should I do. Is there any number where we can call and ask them for the updates or any issue?

Thanks

I have contacted by BUPA for my kid's medical. They are asking to provide report from specialist Pediatrician and developmental Psychologist a report addressing history, diagnosis, management needs and any social services required. If applicable, please also attach a report from the applicant's school (principal), outlining any special services required/received.

I don't know what will happen for my application , but still waiting positively.

Hi, you were a bit unlucky. I don't think it's fair to expect every four-year-old to be exactly the same. Some are talkative, some are not. Some are shy, others not. I guess we could have had similar issue when our younger was four (although she did not need any additional help in the end), so I feel for you. Now she's five and will not stop talking ! Moreover, when we went for our medical, nobody asked her any questions, they only talked to us - parents, whether we had any concerns. That's how it should be.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
