tuckersgirl
Hi all, Was wondering if you are on a 457 and stay with the same employer once granted PR does your salary change? ThankYou
Sammy1
Salary is purely between you and your employer.
Bungo
Salaries are not state regulated. If you agree a change in salary with your employer then it changes. Although I cannot think what visa status might have to do with salary review myself..
Quinkla
If anything, your salary should go down as you are no longer being compensated for being temporarily away from home and liable to be sent back at the employer's whim.
blossom
If your PR was from being sponsored, your employer would have had to have given a copy of your contract, with salary to immigration. If you are on a visa which ties you to your employer for two years (the 187) then they have to give you at least that salary for the two years. grahamffc
I'd be very suprised if it did, are the employer getting any benefit? That said it puts you in a stronger position as you could look for other jobs. So if an employer is under paying you because you're on a 457 and they know you can't leave, with PR you could find another job and if offered it ask your current employer to match it.
