Hi guys! not sure when our nomination was lodged but MA said last req info was 11/5/2016 so heres our timeline Nom 11/5/16 Visa 19/8/16 health checks done now saids no further info req 4people LR 457 transition stream so my question is as we put in nomination in may and our visa in august when they look at our nomination will they look at our visa too or will we be waiting 6months + from the date we lodged the visa? Nomination still hasnt been approved we had to lodge the visa on 19/08/16 as our 457 ran out on 22/8/16

were roughly the same as you just had an email from migrant saying an 8month delay so dont expect a approval until mid next year???

Hello all my partners employer is lodging the nomination part in the next coming days. We will lodge our part of the visa if the nomination part gets approved. We are not doing direct entry just the temporary residence transition stream. Has anybody done this recently this way? Just wondered on processing times for the nomination part? Also do i (as a partner) have to fill out form 80? There is so much to do and want to be prepared with any documents i need ready to hand in when they ask Regards, Sharna

Hello all :-) we currently are living in northern Gold Coast and are looking at moving to Hervey Bay next year. We have been on holiday a few years back and fell in love with it. We are going to book a holiday again over the Easter weekend and do more exploring. Its fine going for a visit but obviously living there may be different. We are not sure if there will be much work for us we know there's less to do there than here but we want a quieter lifestyle partner loves fishing and we have two boys aged 9 and 5. I was hoping someone would have advise on areas to rent, schools in the area? My partner is a car mechanic but wants to work building boats or something along them lines. I'm going to be applying for aged care/community care work as I would have completed my course by then. Would love to here from people that are living in the area or who have lived there before im worried we will feel isolated thanks in advance Sharna

Thankyou! We thought we had to do the health checks now. They will be lodging the nomination after the new year. We are not planning to go back to the UK for a few years yet. Do the UK police checks expire? Our ones were done 2012

Hello all, our immigration lawyer has mentioned we will need a health check done for our 186 visa (currently on 457) I have found the price list online, does each family member need to undertake these tests? We have two young boys 5 and 9 not sure what tests will be done? TIA

starting to get documents ready to start our 186!! scary stuff. We were eligible to start it in October but the lawyer is extremely slow... We have just done our australia police checks need to do our UK ones again (I think) and not too sure if we need to get a health check done? currently on 457 which runs out August 2016. Family of 4 my partner is the one being sponsored and is a Mechanic on the Gold Coast :-)

Hi all, were currently on a 457 visa which expires in 2016 (August) my partners employer will be applying for permanent residency in October this year (cant wait) what visa will we go on 186? we are in Tweed Heads NSW 2485, not sure if it matters where you are? Also can we ask him to apply sooner? my partner will have worked there two years in October this year. Once we have PR granted will my partner have to stay with this employer for a few more months/years? Thanks Sharna
