  1. As the title suggests. What are some of the key things I need to be mindful of when submitting the 100 VISA application? Just submitted the online forms and uploaded the associated documents. (Ended up doing it a little wrong and doubled up on a lot of documents in the "Other" category:) Anyway, I believe we have everything pretty clear. Have a contract for a house with a nomination in both our names, shared savings account with savings history. We just had a daughter last year in Australia and have a trip planned for 1 month from Sydney to Cairns. Plenty of receipts and photos with family. Not too many due to the constraints of the pandemic. We board with my father, so there's no official documents of us renting anywhere yet. Just thinking of anything I might want to add to the application.... Any little advice would be greatly appreciated.
  2. What does that mean? Waited 5 years to lodge stage 2 paper work? Did they apply then wait 5 years, or did they only apply for their second stage after 5 years with all documents. Was it only one document they had to send? The fact they were granted PR the next day is fascinating.
  3. @jhog90 checkout the Family VISA Forum -> https://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/46-family-partner-visas/ It's specifically geared to people like us. There are also Registered Agents posting advice there too.
  4. Exactly the same boat as you. Just submitted our application for the 100. Two years after the 309, we had a baby here in Aus and also bought a house. Fingers crossed.
  5. Yes she did. Both of us did. I only meant that I had a "Request for More Information" for a Russian police check. I think they are valid for quite a while. So hopefully they don't ask us again for the Russian ones given the situation at the moment.
  6. Thanks @paulhand. In regards, "for the sake of it", I mean that I assume it will be needed, so did it in anticipation of such. Regarding the overseas police check. We haven't been anywhere, only Russia and in July Australia. Getting a Russian police check is a lengthy and difficult process if you are not in the country. Given that I did the police check then six months later arrived in Australia, I am assuming it highly unlikely we will need to do the check. Again, the request for the police check was only for me, the sponsor, for the 309. My wife didn't need a police check.
  7. Hi guys, Wife and I have done the 309 VISA, and in a couple of months we're going to be uploading our docs for the 100 VISA. We have bought an off the plan house and had a baby here in Melbourne, so I don't doubt things will go ok. My question is about the 100 VISA police check. Do we need to do another police check from her country for the 100? We arrived in July last year during the pandemic. I have requested police checks for me and her just for the sake of it from the AFP. But I already supplied my (Sponsor) police checks from Russia and in Australia for the 309 VISA. Do I need to do it again for the 100 VISA? Many thanks.
  8. Congratulations @AK2910! How did the 100 visa process start? Did they contact you about it? Did you have to supply any new documentation? Or was it mostly just evidence? Regards,
  9. Hello @sbrowne9, We are going to start our 100 process in December. What was involved ? Did you get an email? Have to supply additional documents? We’re there more forms to fill out? Regards,
  10. This was a day in quarantine… 14 of these. Between 13th of July to 27th of July… Good times. We stayed at the Mercure, even got a good view of the protests in the city during the time. 12200F6C-4F0C-4583-B0C3-554B8C6CA725.MOV
  11. That’s so good to hear! Reminds me of our adventure only 1.5 months ago. The rush of it all is exhilarating, frustrating and at times overwhelming. Getting on the plane was definitely full of Euphoria! Living your experience vicariously! Thanks for sharing. Safe flight and keep us all updated!
  12. Sorry to hear. It’s so frustrating when this happens. We had flights pushed back from December the. April all the way to June. Finally got lucky with low cost business flights on Etihad. We booked them and thankfully got out of Russia in time before I became illegally stateless.
  13. Seems like there’s a push for migration from the UK, whereas other countries, in particular the middle easy, are taking almost two years.
  14. Hello, We have been asked to perform a health undertaking (For TB), however my wife is pregnant, so cannot do the x-ray. Has anyone had this happen? Were you able to reschedule for after birth? 309 has been granted, we are in Australia. My wife became pregnant before we arrived in Australia.
  15. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.
  16. It's all a game of probabilities and risks... You can increase your chances, but not a guarantee. Enjoy the adventure.
  17. Use this site to see if the flight arrives on the days you have booked. Flights are scheduled on a weekly basis. Each flight code is for the one flight a day, these flights happen on a weekly basis. The flights are generally schedule around 1-2 months ahead of time. When we bought our two business class tickets, we bought the Choice (Delta) fare code originally. The flight was bought four months out from our flight date. This flight appeared and disappeared a number of time between April and July. In June however, I noticed the flight code for the flight was not arriving on the Wednesday for the entire route, so I knew 100% the flight would not happen. Fortunately I was able to squeeze in a flight change from July 7th to July 12th using the same fare code. I was lucky I made the call when I did, because the week after there were no more flights at all with that fare code, and upgrading would cost another $4,000. So it would have been a double hit if we got cancelled by the cap change, since we would need to have moved the flight and paid a lot more. It was just pure luck for us Etihad kept the flight caps the same until the 14th since our Melbourne leg departed Abu Dhabi midnight 13th and arrived Melbourne evening of the 13th. The basic gist of it is, nothing is ever guaranteed. But the odds increase as everything lines up for the departure and the flight is occurring on a regular basis. To check your flight code, whether it is arriving, use this site : https://www.flightstats.com/v2 Good luck and safe travels!
  18. We flew in on the last international Melbourne flight arriving on July 13th. On this flight I counted 8 passengers in business class, the day before there were 12 seat reservations. Likely 4 people were not able to board due to PCR test results or other issues. Economy blew me away, there were likely a maximum of 20 passengers. So even with no caps, these flight would be arriving with no passengers. No wonder the gulf states with their oil money who can afford no passengers. I’ll have to write a story about the whole thing.
  19. We made it to Australia. Have to say, the arrival process was pretty gruelling. Everyone was very welcoming but at the end it was ruined by a big man with a thick French accent having a go at me for thinking I was treating him like a helper. When I never asked for his help at all and he was really rude to us as I tried to recover our 110kg worth bags on to the bus to the hotel. Currently in the centre of the city, into our second day of the quarantine period. So far it’s been pretty quiet. But I don’t see how I’ll get much work done. Etihad Airways really made the trip wonderful!
  20. Any companies people are aware of that can handle the entire process? Our two Abyssinians are currently with friends as we plan to move to Melbourne. Any advice would be most appreciated. We tried the process ourselves, but two months in and we didn't get anywhere with being able to get blood samples to the right place. PLEASE HELP!
