  1. That's just ridiculous. I wish you well for next week
  2. Did you sit your test on the day they wanted or did you move the test date up a bit from the original date? Thank you
  3. Congratulations and thank you for the insightful read.
  4. Next week is tomorrow. Hope everyone gets some sort of movements in their respective time lines.
  5. PR is PR. Permanent it's just the travel component that expires after the initial 5 years and needs to be reapplied for if you wish to travel in and out of Australia. If you don't need to travel out of Australia . No need to renew RRV. Like myself for example Travel rights expired but I don't need to travel so I don't have an RRV in place at the moment.
  6. Still waiting from May Same, still waiting from may test date. Online statues reads: Further Assessment.
  7. Sounds quick but doesn't feel like it. Approval pending hitting 2 months soon on that wait.
  8. I faced a somewhat similar situation to yours. When I applied for PR my son was included in original application. But somehow was not added when PR was granted I only found this out when I travelled back to home country with him (thinking we both PR) and upon check in to return (to Australia) he was not able to travel. So yes, I applied for a tourist visa for him and once he arrived onshore his PR visa was granted. So I assume one can do that, also I have read here people apply partner visa offshore and then apply for tourist to visit spouses etc whilst waiting for a decision. I don't know if that helps in anyway.
  9. Thank you for the response. I have decided for this application to attempt a normal tourist visa and see what happens. Will come back with questions if that doesn't happen. Cheers
  10. That's exactly what I'm thinking to. My actual test date this next month. But I pulled mine 3 months forwards. So have my heart set on it being approved on the original test date .
  11. I have only been waiting nearly 2 months now. And still waiting. ☺
  12. Wow that's just arrrgg! True with so many people applying who knows how many files one particular case officer handles a day.
  13. It will happen soon. Many 2017 getting approvals recently. Your time is near hang in there.
  14. Apologies on behalf.of everyone who miss interpretated
  15. Does being from a Regional areas means it takes a little bit longer then those in the big cities? Especially if you have all your papers, are documented and there shouldn't be anything hindering ones approval
  16. He/She is asking about citizenship application not PR as per his/her post he/she has obtained, Permanent Resident hence asking about what he/she needs relating to citizenship matters☺
  17. The DOHA website has the information just type Australian citizenship application in Google and u should find the DOHA website with all the information you need to know. Also test is very simple, maybe brush up on sample questions online, but regardless it's all common knowledge questions. So quiet simple. Hope that helps your query.
  18. Congratulations I'm glad to see 2019 applicants getting approved I applied 2 days before you. Sat test already, so seeing this gives hope
  19. I wonder if having children on one's application could cause delays? For instance in my case, my ex partner and I split up years ago. He has sent a letter giving his consent plus a copy of his passport bio data page. Which was sighted at interview and was said to be ok (as signature matched his letter). He's also a PR here. My question is I'm wondering if they will contact him for further clarification. Kinda daunting as he frequently travels overseas for work and has entered a new relationship (his partner isn't to keen on entertaining his son and allowing communication etc...) Anyways long story short my question is does anyone know if they contact the other parent after they have sighted the letters & passport bio data pages?
  20. It's fine, as long as your RRV is still valid should be all good. I also applied Feb 2019. Went overseas In April for at least 3 weeks, returned and got a test invite so should be ok. P. S in the original lodgement I did let them know I would be oversease in April.
  21. Hello everyone, Anyone here who sat the test in late May get an approval yet? Just Curious
  22. Hello welcome back. Wait times for this period I wouldn't know on a realistic scale but it looks like applications get test dates pretty quick. From my own experience as well as what I have read on other forums. Som have already completed the process or are half way there. Those who lodged in this year 2019 (myself included) is what I am referring too. Probably best to think in terms of what DOHA posts up as estimated times, as not to gets to discouraged
  23. Oh yes true visa on arrival put in passports could be an issue when leaving a country cause then they can't see the visa in Australian passport as you entered with home country passport. Most probably I might just use Australian, save on the complexity
  24. Thank you that pretty much clarifies my ask. Cheers everyone. Thank you.
