  1. Just check everyday sometimes twice a day slots come up randomly (when someone drops their slot). I got invite early May for August. Moved that 4 times till I got a slot in Late May and did the test. ( just kept checking any chance I got)
  2. Has anyone actually had their application statues changed from Received to Initial Assessment and or Further Assessment. Or are most applications jst from received to approved?
  3. Seeing all this approvals is exciting. Congratulations people who have moved on to the next stage. I see the wait is daunting but worth it. .
  4. Thank you at least have some idea what checks need to be done. Silly me didn't ask questions after the test. Just up and left, I guess nerves and all. Oh well. I guess we shall just wait and see.
  5. Out of curiosity does anyone know what checks they actually do?
  6. LOL. Same that was what I was thinking. Maybe since I pulled my date forward . Original shedualed test date was the 9th of August so probably I have to wait till than for any outcome . I did my test the 27th of May... *sigh*
  7. I thought waiting for test date would be the longest and most daunting. Learning that for me actually waiting for approval is a nuisance .
  8. Oh wow that's interesting... When did you apply?
  9. Has anyone applied for a tourist visa 600 family stream? If so in terms of paper work/documents to provide is it the same as when you apply for a normal tourist visa and only difference is you pay a bond (if applicable)? Also which is more viable to do? Thank you
  10. Also on PPC sorry I must have miss read yes you can apply for your respective countries online or whichever way is allowable by them. As for my home country I just didn't trust things would be done on the time frame I had in mind so I went about doing it as I mentioned above. Cheers Hope that answered your question.
  11. Yes I needed one from home country as I spent a year there plus other months after gaining PR. Yes, I sent a set of finger prints, plus filled in forms etc and DHL them back to my home country (had someone at home to lodge at police headquarters) to process my police clearence certificate. I was travelling for Easter break to see my fanily in April, so picked up the police clearence in person and brought it back and attached to the required feil on my application.
  12. There are some members I saw that applied for RRV (resident return visa) onshore and had it approved in minutes. Mine expires next month (June).
  13. Hi, No I didn't use an agent or anything I just applied online as normal but I had gathered all my documents required before hand. I was eligible to apply at December 2018. Only had my overseas police clearence to obtain which I travelled back home to get and submitted that on my return April 2019. After that got test invite on the 13th of May.. For August test but kept checking till I could reshedual for tomorrow's test slot. Mind you I first arrived In Aust in 2004 (student visa) and have been PR since 2014. I did apply in 2016 but I left Australia for a year and came back and reapplied so maybe that's why it was quick. Not sure. Also approval waits I hear takes a long time also. So it's all a waiting game.
  14. Thank you guys for the response. Will look into saving on parking.
  15. Anyone who has done the test. It says 2 hours is that time frame accurate and is the test something to be nervous about? Sorry if my question is silly, just a super nervous person at times .
  16. No it's not too fast. I applied Feb 2019, got a test invite for June 2019. So it's probably becoming a norm now. Hopefully approvals are as quick as the invites though.
  17. I did as what you said. Just scanned both front and back on one piece of paper and submitted. Applied: 13-Feb - 2019 Got a test Invite for Test: 24-June-2019. So I'm guessing doing that is fine.
  18. Wow that's surreal. Same here just for incase I too always travel with printed out PR visa grant notices for myself and son and all this miscellaneous documents. I do sincerely hope things pick up for you and your family soon. The wait is just tiresome and all this paper work business is ridicules.
  19. Reading this makes me upset. 18 months and nothing. I hope they haven't lost your file and things pick up at lighting speed very soon. Two years wait just sounds awful. Hoepfully it doesn't come to that
  20. Thank you, yes I did and reassigned to the 24 of June. Will try again within the week if possible to reschedule again. If not that date is fine with me.
  21. Just sharing my timeline so far: Applied :13 Feb 2019 Asked for further doc and supplied: 08 May 2019 Test Invite: 13 May 2019 Test shedualed for: 09 Aug 2019. Excited for the test even though its 3 months away.
  22. That's wonderful news. Congratulations on an invite. Hopefully QLD is a little faster then other centers.
