@Biggsy - Thank you that is very helpful - I have my NI card and will take my last pay slip and in addition my company will be posting my P45 within 2 weeks to my Australian address so hopefully that will suffice when I go into the bank to collect card etc. @vicky bajwa Yes my daughter in Australia did the payment for me via Bpay within 4 hours my visa was granted. At the bottom of your Invoice it has a unique reference number which you need to add to the payment so they know who it is from. It was very easy and quick

I have managed to open a Westpac Bank account from the UK successfully and will validate with proof of ID when I arrive. In the meantime I received an email from Westpac regarding Foreign Tax Residency status of which they want a copy - is that the P45? TIA

Parent visa application timelines (143 & 173)
Marilyn replied to theballies's topic in Family / Partner Visas
@Greece When I was requested I was asked for the past 10 years and they all had to be valid. If possible, I think it would be worthwhile to wait until you have been requested as the email address for the CO is different and then you can ask them - The generic email you will just get an auto reply. They give you 70 days to get all your documents and medical done so that should be enough time. If not you can always ask for an extension if you can prove any of your documents will take more than the 70 days to get. They are very understanding. You never know what they will ask you so it is very difficult to prepare. I know it is difficult and easy for me to say as I have my visa so this is just my advice. I have been through this long long long waiting period of 45 months so I do understand.- 3,180 replies

Parent visa application timelines (143 & 173)
Marilyn replied to theballies's topic in Family / Partner Visas
You can start filling in your Form 80 it is very long and detailed. You can find it on the IMMI website. To do your medical you need a HAP number and to do the Police Certificate it is only valid for 12 months so if you do it now and you only get request early 2020 it may have expired and it must be valid for entry as is your medical report.- 3,180 replies

Parent visa application timelines (143 & 173)
Marilyn replied to theballies's topic in Family / Partner Visas
@Greece There is personal information on those emails sent to individuals so you will just need to wait until you receive your request from the CO via email (They do not call) You are unable to do anything until that time anyway.- 3,180 replies

@CEJ Its difficult to say due to the time difference my daughter did the payment in Sydney around 11:00 time and the email was sent to me UK time 06:57 it worked out as 4 hours @Kalil BPAY - there are very clear instructions at the bottom of the invoice on all the options how to pay with your unique Invoice number. Very easy - some have surcharges and some don't - we went with no surcharges.

@CEJ I think these past 4 months have been worse than the previous 39! I was there on holiday this time last year for my daughter's birthday and told her it would be the last birthday we will be apart but now her bday is on Thursday and I am still in the UK

Having the opportunity to be able to apply for this visa is a great privilege of which I am so grateful....yes there is a but coming...... but waiting for nearly 45 months now I must say it is for the survival of the mentally fittest.

@VLong No I have had no movement since submitting my docs - I did write to PVC team 1 last week enquiring and they have basically indicated that they are working according to the auto reply timings so August 2015 but we do know they have requested for September 2015 lodgers. It doesn't make a difference what stage you are with 143 or 173 with the submission of documents so I will have to just wait until they reach October 2015 and that is when they will be processing my application. You can follow via my timeline - it would help others too if you put yours up.

@Sept 2016 They only assessing September 2015 unfortunately you still have a long wait. @kimboslice They only just asked Sept 2015 to do medical and police check so nearly there - I submitted all that in March 2015 and still waiting for request to pay its been 4 very very very long months.
