  1. +- 40 months whew. Congrats for your family overall - its very stressful for everyone involved but going to be so worth it. Hope they can get there in time for Christmas.
  2. My daughter was asking me last night if there is any chance I will be there for Easter and I am so reluctant to put both our hopes up. I am a little fortunate in this instant that I have applied for the 173 so I won't have the delay of the AOS which seems to be the major hold up so my heart wants to say Yes but my head is saying no . My process will be quick but my position in the queue is becoming debatable.
  3. Any updates anyone? It seems everything has come to a standstill except the £ - AUD$ ROE which is very favorable right now.
  4. Hi they are currently only processing up to and including 11th June 2015 but I do know someone who submitted theirs on 2nd July was asked for documents so hopefully it won't be too long now.
  5. Hi and welcome! If you go to the top right hand side where your name is you will see an downward arrow go to Account Settings and on the left hand side under Overview you will see Signature – don’t forget to save.
  6. Congratulations you sure where put through the patience wheel! So very happy for you and your family. Thank you for all the valuable information you have provided. Don't forget to update your signature with the last entry in capitals!
  7. Will definately get in touch when my turn comes for sure. Did they ask you "where do you see yourself in 10 years time?" ?
  8. @GeoffandgillCongratulations excellent news... This is what I like to see - continues to give me hope!
  9. Form 1022 - and I emailed it and posted it and they acknowledged receipt via email and said my details had been updated. Form 929 is changes to your passport and address
  10. Thank you Linda - I actually just did a test run (sorry I know that test is a very touchy word around here) and it was so easy and quick even uploading documents and passport photo - I managed to print each page as I did it (you cannot save it) so I think I will just wait until asked.
  11. Does anyone think it too risky to do the Police Clearance Certificate when their 36 months is up (mine is next month) ? I know it has to be valid for 12 month but being the optimist that I am, I am sure I will be there by October 2019
  12. That is fantastic news so great to see there is some kind of movement. It gives the rest of us an idea that we looking at maybe 3.5 years worse case scenario. Personally counting on 3 years and 3 months as I am on 173 I won't have the hassle of the horrendous AOS delay.
  13. It feels like everything has come to a standstill and I am in the twilight zone. Has anyone had any progress/requests or even received the latest "test" email?
  14. Thank you for that. The rate I sent is the actually transferring rate which is always a bit lower. I just sent $5K over via XE
  15. ROE on XE currently 1 GBP = 1.7937 AUD. Now if only the next "test" email gives us something to celebrate in anticipation
  16. Anyone manage to get a "test" page in the past week - not having much luck from my end
  17. Keep an eye on the ROE it appears to be improving was £1 - $1.73 early this month and today it is at $1:78
  18. OFFSHORE APPLICANTS (subclass 143 and 173) When your application is allocated to an assessing officer, you or your authorised contact may be asked to provide more documents, including (but not limited to) an Assurance of Support (subclass 143 only), police certificates and health clearances to finalise your application. We are currently assessing applications lodged up to and including 25 May 2015. So disappointing - told my grandkids earlier this year that I would be there just after Santa visited and looks like now I will have to tell them it will be after the Easter bunny has come!
  19. Hi I was just reading all the old messages from 2016 and picking up any tips and saw that you are in Newport - I will also be moving there when my visa is granted my daughter and SIL have bought a house along Barrenjoey Road not far from Newport Primary School so would be great to grab a coffee (or a gin for me at the rate my waiting is going) when i finally get there?
  20. Hopefully they will re-employ the +- 300 staff members he laid off so that they can catch up to the backlog and we can start moving in the waiting room again. My backside has spread from sitting for so long!
  21. Thank you for your help with this David - I posted the form 1022 on 15th and also emailed them a scanned copy and they responded already to say my sponsor's details have been updated - so looks like they happy for an email copy of the document I didn't have to spend £7 posting it ? but at least I did it.
  22. Amazing news and yes can't wait for this to be me sooner rather than later. Just been in Sydney for 10 days I surprised my daughter for her 40th and was able to see their new house which they bought with me in mind, saw the new schools the grandbabies are going to, met teachers and their friends and in just those 10 days solidified my decision to go was the perfect one for me. Best of luck M and hope you keep us updated with your progress and any tips you have once you have settled will be greatly appreciated. Bon Voyage!
  23. Thank you David - I will get onto that now - alot of her info has changed like citizenship, address, email and dwellling
