    I hope so; however, there seems to be a freeze on grants at the moment until 1st July.

    In hindsight, I would have submitted all of my documents when I lodged my visa. I defo feel like my case has taken longer. I lodged my visa on 21/03 and finalised medical/PCCs on 15/04.

    Hi @Kirstyj - I'm looking to move to Perth suburbs, possibly as far down as Mandurah. Where abouts are you? I'm a secondary school teacher, 30 years old and making the move on my own. Ive been waiting for my 189 since 21st March..

    It is incredibly draining not knowing. I submitted my 189 visa on 21st March and still waiting. It does look like very few will be issued until the clock resets on 1st July. At least that is only just under 3 weeks away. Fingers crossed all!

    Has anyone had a recent 189 grants on here? No grants for 3 days now, so that could well be it for June, until it resets on 1st July.

    Have you been allocated Brisbane GSM? Im Adelaide. I have a feeling thats it until 1st July now with visa grants. Nothing granted in 3 days.

    I am a Secondary School Teacher; however, I have applied for a 189 visa. My meds and PCCs were uploaded on 13/04. How about yours? Hoping to head to Perth! How about you?

    We lodged ours the same date then @Simons - What is your profession? Did you submit all your docs (meds, pccs etc) all at once?

    @Dragonflygecko Thanks for the info - how did you find out about the 190,000 max? I really do hope I hear before by the 20th June. Literally living a day at a time - I honestly thought being a 30 year old, single man would mean a quick grant! It really is a painful painful experience, but a small price to pay in the long run I suppose! I bet your still on cloud nine! Have you started to book things - flights etc?

    According to Imm, Brisbane issued a grant today.

    No reason why you shouldn't do it now. Its simple enough and takes approx 10 working days.

    Thanks @Dragonflygecko - I am currently 74 days in from date of lodgement. The wait is very painful and starting to get me down alittle. I'm sure everyone in my position wakes up each morning thinking 'will today to be the day?' (I'm using a MA, so will get an E-mail from them). It's a shame you can't leave work sooner. I have already handed my notice in already, as I want to be able to go ASAP. How do you know that migration quotas were near the max?

    I used Spire Hartwood Hospital in Brentwood, Essex. I live just over the bridge in Kent and was very easy to get to. They are approved by the DIBP. They were very good. The only other place in the South East is Knightsbridge.

    Its the same for some of us waiting for our 189 visas. Lodged mine 21/03 - Medicals & police check done on 13/04...still waiting!

    Nope, nothing from me. lodged 21/03 and replied with meds and police check on 13/04. Thought being a 30 year old single man might make it quicker! Obv not!

    @Dragonflygecko To be honest mate, I haven't got many commitments, so it was easier for me to just hand it in. Otherwise I would have been stuck at school until Xmas! You've got so much to do! I would savour it though - your never going to do this again, so try and enjoy. Your right - there does seem to be some sort of pattern emerging. Late Feb/early march lodges being granted at the moment. I've said to myself - mid June. Let's hope its sooner!!

    I'm sorry - I can't really help with this one. I went through a MIRA agent. With the medicals; however, you can either wait until a CO is assigned after lodging your 189 visa and they will ask you to complete the meds or do them beforehand when you have a HAP number.

    What a perfect end to a shitty day! Honestly, really happy for you! We are fairly close with our timing. Just praying I really am not far behind. I handed my notice in this week at work (to leave end of July), so just hoping all works out!

    Hi Dawn, What MIRA agent are you using and what is your profession? I am also going through an agent and I am a Secondary School Teacher. I lodged my application on 21/03 and my Meds/police checks were finalised on the 18/04. Praying it doesn't take 5 months!!

    Police checks are done by yourself. I had to get one for the UK and Australia (I was there on a WHV 5 years ago).
