  1. Hi Guys - just an update. It will be 4 months since I lodged my 189 visa on 20th July. I know a few of us have similar timelines; however, i'd like to hear if this is the case for anyone else. It is becoming so so frustrating and anxiety is through the roof! Thanks guys

  5. Welll will surely hear soon @Yikes2017 - I can't take much more, I have to be honest!
  6. I am however alittle concerned that 3 of the visas granted today were lodged on the same day as mine, yet had no news today..
  7. Glad to see a few visa grants today. I am however concerned that 3 of those were lodged on the same date as mine! I haven't heard a word...
  8. What is property and teaching opportunities like in Baldivis? To be honest, i'm open to look at anywhere south of Perth. Nope, still nothing! Will be 4 months since visa lodge on 20.07!
  9. I have to agree with @Nemesis here. Many us are frustrated having to wait 3+ months; however, none of us have to power to speed the DIBP along. My agent said that they don't have to reply at all if within the 7 months advised.
  10. r cool, I'm looking at Mandurah - very close!
  11. @Yikes2017 I feel happier knowing that we are all in the same boat. I would be very concerned if people were getting grants around me and I wasn't. I honestly thought that from 1st July we would see 20-30 grants a day. The backlog must be huge! I am using an agent and they have told me they will E-mail me as soon as they get the grant, so I never expect to wake up with that magic E-mail - although, if I haven't heard by 10am, I know todays not my day.
  12. @Casey r - Where abous in WA are you looking to go to?
  13. Perhaps so. Who knows - either way it is VERY frustrating!
  14. Hi - I am a secondary school teacher also who teaches history. I applied for my 189 visa on 20/03 and still waiting for a grant! I'm heading to WA.
  15. Hey @Dragonflygecko - Really gutted that I STILL havent any news regarding my visa. Will be four months on 20th July! I'm now bored of being anxious and the constant 'will it be today?' How are your moving plans coming on?
  16. Yes, of course - one has to rely on people entering correct dates etc. It is however a better indication than nothing at all. DIBP are not affiliated with that website, therefore have no jurisdictuion over it.
  17. there is an external website you can sign up to. Many of us are signed up to it; however, I cannot refer to it on here as admin will remove the post. I will PM you :-)
  18. I am very surprised to see just only one grant (yesterday) so far this month.
  19. @Yikes2017 At least you know that there is many of us in the same boat. I am experiencing many of the same emotions as you. June was time to just put it to the back of the mind, but now July is here, its back to anxiety and worry! You never know, it might come tomorrow!!
  20. I recieved my invitation on 13.03.17 and full application was submitted 20.03.17
  21. Hi All, After a few weeks of not expecting a grant, I thought that from 1st July they would be flooding in. However, there has been none. I know it's only been 2 working days but still.

  23. This really needs to be made clear - The Form 80 IS NOT a compolsory requirement of a 189 visa application. It should only be completed IF the CO requests for it be done.
  24. Hi @Casey r - I'm a secondary school teacher who holds a First Class history degree, so the pressure was on to pass first time! I suffer from Dyslexia, so I was really concerned about the reading element; however, it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. The best advice I can give is to do the practice tests over and over again. I did and found the actual test was easier. All the best! Keep us updated! Fingers crossed I get my visa ASAP..
