  1. I'm kind of guessing that they interview people that they need to double check stuff on?? Don't really know!
  2. We didn't have an interview! We are in our 50's and been married for 25 years, so I guess they took all that into account.... I don't really know!
  3. Lol, when I read the email I panicked and couldn't think what they were trying to say. I must've missed something! Otherwise, why send an email that doesn't really say anything, especially as I haven't heard a single word from them since May....but it seems that there is no hidden agenda??? Confused of Weston super Mare!
  4. Re: Medicals: Husband had his a month ago and he's 51 and it was fine, so unless you have an illness, I wouldn't worry. X
  5. How long is the time lapse then, for validation? I haven't been able to find that anywhere.
  6. Same here. I found it ok, but I wasn't sure I'd done everything correctly! But then, I am 58, all this computer stuff doesn't come naturally to me!!
  7. We're applying for Partner visa (I am the sponsor). Application done in March 2015, online in UK. We haven't used an agent, doing it on our own, which is why I'm so nervous!!
  8. Don't know. I had an email where C introduced himself and said he was my case officer. But I applied myself, no agent, and online from UK...
  9. Relax????? I think my nerves are shot forever more!!! Yes, medical and checks done in October. Thanks!! X
  10. Oh, you're making me nervous, too!!!! Our CO told us not to do medical or police check until after Sept 27, so we did as we were told, did them in October....
  11. Applied March this year. I'm sick to the back teeth of checking emails!!! I'm similar, I'm sponsoring my husband but we are older (50's) and have no kids.... Fingers crossed!!
  12. Any ideas what, if anything, I should read into this email I've just received from the London office....? "Dear Client, We are writing regarding your partner migration visa which is being processed at the London office. We can confirm that we are now able to proceed further with your application and you are requested to provide any outstanding information requested made by your case officer within 40 calendar days of this email. If you do not respond to this request within this time frame, a decision will be made on your application based on the information contained on your file" They have given no clues about what information they're on about!!! I attached the police check to the application, but the doctor said he would send it directly to the department, he was given the HAP number etc. I assume he did this. Anyone else had an email like this?! Don't know whether to be happy or worried...!
  13. Well, I chased.....!! And I got a very short, sharp reply, which wasn't from our CO (totally different name) which simply said "your application is in progress. Please be advised parter visa waiting times are 10-14 months. Please be advised the information you are given by the Europe centre will be based on the information you supply. We recommend you do not make any irreversible travel arrangements before you have received the appropriate visa" So that's told me!
  14. Oh, right, sorry, everyone! All these numbers and types!! Confused!! X
  15. So, is there any substance to the rumour that visas are granted on a strict first come first served basis? Because it seems that Major Tom applied after me, but he's got his and I'm still waiting. Any clues? Very happy for The Major, just want to know why I'm waiting!! X
  16. Any ideas why mine is taking so much longer???? I thought we were an easy case...just the two of us and we've been married 25 years!
  17. Submitted application online UK 27 March 2015. CO assigned 15 May 2015. Advised not to do medicals or police checks before Sept 27 2015, so we did those October 2015. Beginning of Dec 2015, rang the people in London who said they have all the information they need now, so we just wait. They reminded us that the timeframe is 10 - 14 months.
  18. I'm confused because they tell you not to sell your house or quit your job, and I wonder how they could expect anyone to organise everything within two months?
