  1. Yay!!!! Congratulations!!! Don't know about the 100 stuff, but I'm sure I read somewhere that you get the 100 two years from date of lodgement.
  2. We applied about a month before you, so going by that, you should be anytime soon. We've been married 25 years, and only got the 309, though...
  3. I think that during all those months of constantly checking and re-checking, you kind of get used to how it all works. And there are guidelines for absolutely everything. This forum, for me, was what kept me sane. I didn't actually join until we had completed everything on the application, and there was nothing left to do but wait. Every time I needed to know what to do, I checked this forum, and found the answer. I don't know who runs it, but what a brilliant job?! If anyone out there is reading this, without joining, I would recommend joining sooner rather than later because you can save yourself a lot of time, money and worry by just asking these good people a question.
  4. We did ours online and didn't use an agent. And, if I can do it, anyone can!!! I'm not a bit techie!
  5. I sent an email asking if there's any news, sorry to nag, but getting fed up with the weather here! Mind you, I did get a rather snotty email back! And then a couple of weeks later, the grant! Coincidence?!!
  6. I'm going to have a guess here. I reckon you'll get your email on 21 Jan. Just guessing x
  7. We are assuming that it's only the visa applicant that needs to enter Australia by the given date. Those with Australian passports can, presumably, enter and leave as many times as they wish. I haven't checked this, but it makes sense to me!
  8. Steady guys! Don't want to spit on your fireworks, but ours came two months after police check. Also don't want you getting excited when it might not happen...
  9. Ours was two months, with a last entry date of one year and 7 months from lodgement.
  10. Thanks everyone. I think I will take both, as we don't have much else to cart over there, no lounge suite, no wardrobes, only 1 bed (there's only two of us) so if needs be, we can always store them in a spare room. Pall I need to know is how clean is "clean". There are a few bits of the washing machine drawer where the conditioner goes that I can't get completely clean (horrible water in this area) but should I go to total extremes like soak it in bleach for a week? I guess I'm answering my own question here!!! If I don't want to have it confiscated, go the extra mile!!
  11. Hi people, I've got a Hotpoint American style fridge freezer which is only about a year old, and a Samsung Eco bubble washing machine, also about a year old. Does anyone know if it's ok to take them to Australia? I've tried to check online, but got lost in the techie stuff! I'm concerned that both are in use, and had water running through them, which i may struggle with draining completely, and I just know that if there's the littlest bit of mould spots, customs will put a stop on them! I don't want to sell them, because I won't get back anywhere near what I paid! Thank you!
  12. Yepp, the big wait! Ours took about two months from the "everything ready, just have to wait" stage. Good luck.
  13. That's what I did, so I assume it's correct. Bit nervous to give advice on here, as I could be wrong! It worked for me, though, doing it like that. The medical goes directly to "them". After you attach the police check (which doesn't take long), you then have the horrible wait period, where you're checking your emails every day and driving yourself nuts! Good luck!
  14. Hoping to head back to Blue Mountains NSW, where I'm from originally, but nothing is ever set in stone!
