  1. Firstly just to be clear... this involves two very separate processes. I.e. Getting your Skills Assessed for Skilled Migration purposes is totally separate from then making an EOI for a 189 GSM and subsequent VISA application. You would need to have a Skills Assessment first to ensure you can claim the required number of points to later use towards your claims on an EOI, and also later down the road on a VISA Application when you get invited to apply. Each nominated occupation on the CSOL (and indeed the SOL) have an Authorised Assessing Authority. If you look at the list it will detail the authority next to each occupation; https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Work/Skills-assessment-and-assessing-authorities/skilled-occupations-lists/CSOL I'm not clear from your post which ANZSCO code you are referring to, but from the description of the job you included then you will more than likely require a Skills Assessment from ACS (Australian Computer Society). If you visit their website then it should give the information you need; https://www.acs.org.au/migration-skills-assessment. Best of luck.
  2. Hi Lara K, check out the stats in my signature below... You will see I applied for same umbrella code as you (2613xx) and it took 4 months from point of EOI to get the INVITE. As I'm sure you know the last invitation round was 7th September, and from what we can gleam from peoples stats the cut-off was 60 points and somewhere after 6th May, and before 12th May. It's no guarantee at all as it depends on the number of EOI with 65+ points, but you should get an invite on 60 points within 3/4 months - even on the pro-rata basis. Best of luck.
  3. I realise that your post has already had responses, but I just wanted to pick up on something that you said, which is; You refer to two different organisations here in this sentence, and two very different parts of the VISA process. It may just be a typo, but for clarity... You would first need to get your skills assessed by the Authorised Assessing Authority for your Nominated Occupation, which in your case is ACS. They will have their own guidelines on how you go about this and what they require from you - it is quite involved (I know from experience). However, ACS is nothing to do with the VISA Application Process, SkillSelect, or the Expression of Interest (EOI) stage. You may have just referred to SkillSelect mistakenly. Once, and assuming you get a positive Skills Assessment from ACS, then if you also can satisfy the other VISA requirements to gain the required points for GSM (60 minimum) then you can make an EOI using the SkillSelect system. As an aside, to answer something else you asked... I got my positive ACS Skills Results in 7 days. Though be aware it can take up to 3 months. Apologies if I have over-read your post, but just wanted to pick up on what I'd read between the lines.
  4. I can second the responses that you got in this thread. We applied (and paid) on 6th September, and then I started to upload all the documents. The system is a generic one it seems and asks for the main items that will appear on the official VISA Document Checklist as well as some extra ones that are not relevant to your personal circumstances - i.e. We also had the recommended for Australian Study, which we don't have. Simply upload as much of the recommended items as you can, and then ensure you've covered everything off from the official VISA Document Checklist. When a CO is assigned then if anything important is missing they will ask you to supply the items then also. The button that ozee talked of at the top is useful, as it allows an upload to be performed of all different document types - more than you can think of! I used this route for uploading my Passport Digital Photographs of the family (different to copy of Passport pages). Good luck.
  5. Not quite sure of your circumstances of if you mean you want real hard cash, but I made a large purchase this week (VISA Application charge) in AUS $ and used my Halifax Clarity card (love it for international payments) and got 2.21 to the £.
  6. An IMMI account is where you see all your VISA applications, including the GSM 189 once you've received an invite via SkillSelect. For example in my IMMI account I can see all my eVisitor VISA applications from the past which we applied for when we visited Aus as tourists. If you have been invited, which I think you said you had on 7th September (like me also), then you should login to your SkillSelect account in the normal way and you will see an 'Apply Now' button. Click this and it will take you where you need to go, and yes if you don't have one already then you will need to create an IMMI account. Basically once you've been invited then SkillSelect is essentially redundant for the time-being as you'll do all your application via your IMMI account. Good luck with it.
  7. Yeh we have 2 girls, aged 2yr and 6yr. Moving to the Brisbane/Sunshine Coast area.
  8. I'm not too sure what sort of notification you need or why, but in terms of seeing the VISA granted and which was electronically tagged to your passport, then I recommend you use the Online Visa Enquiry service which you can access here; https://online.immi.gov.au/evo/firstParty?actionType=query
  9. Just out of interest, is this in relation to a public or private school? I thought that schools required proof of a residential address in their catchment area before they would allow you to enrol. I'd be interested to hear if you have managed to contact a school in advance of emigrating to arrange enrolment. What state/area would this be for? Cheeers
  10. You are right, our ANZSCO codes are different, but they both come under the main umbrella ANZSCO code of 2613 - Software and Application Programmers. This is a pro-rated occupation code from the point of view of Skillselect and invitations etc... So from an invitation point of view our difference in codes doesn't change anything as we both are bound by the pro-rata arrangements of the main 2613 code and it's specific cut-off dates each round - still to be publicised for the just gone September round, at; https://www.border.gov.au/Busi/Empl/skillselect. You should be lucky next month in the October round, since you can only have missed out by a few days this time.
  11. Hi Kirstyj, that's wicked news - congrats, and same here - I lodged on Sunday night. What nominated occupation are you, and how long have you been waiting for your EOI to turn into an invite? You might want to follow/join-up this thread on the subject of September 189 lodgers; http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/238682-189-visa-lodged-september-2015-a.html
  12. Hi oldun, congrats on the grant. Just wondering what were your stats? When did you apply, and when did CO get allocated, and when was final grant etc...?
  13. Hey CaptainC, can you clarify when you uploaded them which Document Category/Type you did it under? I'm not sure which section/type to upload the photos under. Also... when you uploaded your Skills Assessment results, did you just upload the final certificate from your assessing authorising/body, or did you also upload any supporting documents that you used for the purpose of skills assessment with the authorising body?
  14. Hi Amir HK, in answer to your question... I got an invite on Sunday 6th September, 4 months to the date that I made my EOI way back in May. So whilst the official stats won't be updated on the Border.gov.au website for a while with detail the exact cut-offs, you can get an idea that the cut off must have been after 7th May but before the 12th. Based on that you should stand a good chance of being invited in the next October round.
  15. Hey guys, thanks for starting this thread. I'm also in the same boat and lodged my application last night after receiving the all important invite yesterday afternoon. Application lodged and payment all made, and uploaded most of the important documents through IMMI account. Need to double check it before CO allocated in 3-4 weeks, but hopefully all is in order. Good luck to all... keep us all posted on progression and progress with your applications.
  16. Soz CaptainC, hadn't refreshed the page and so didn't notice you'd already answered this. At least we both said the same thing!
  17. Ah right sorry, I didn't' realise you were using an agent.... In which case you won't know about your invite until you have spoken to your agent which I guess will be office hours today/tomorrow. The invite will go to them and be in their email awaiting action. Good luck either way to you.
  18. Hi there, I'm sure that @CaptainC will be along to answer your question shortly, as I know he knows the answer to that. However, from what I remember him posting in the past, it should be as simple as clicking a Medical Details button somewhere in IMMI account details. The Captain will point you in the exact direction though. Congrats on your invite BTW.
  19. Hi there, it is difficult to say with certainty, but I have been few a number of these now, and from experience of what people say on POI, then if you haven't received an email about the invitation by 9pm tonight then you probably haven't been lucky in this round. Don't forget to check your SPAM/JUNK email folder too, and also for belt and braces then log into your SkillSelect Account and see if the STATUS is still SUBMITTED, or whether it has changed to INVITED. Good luck with it, and hold on in there... It's worth the wait.
  20. Good luck to everyone waiting patiently for their invitations. I do sympathise having had to wait for 4 months to the day, and I know how hard it is trying not to despair, although as CaptainC already said... hold in there, the wait is worth it and you will be invited eventually.
  21. I had several consultations with The Emigration Group and they were very good. They are one of the more reputable Migration Agents. We decided to go it alone in the end for our Skills Assessment, EOI, and Visa Application, but that was nothing to do with the abilities of TEG - we simply felt we could approach it ourselves having done so much research into the whole process for a year before. I also know a colleague who used TEG for the whole process from start to finish - which is where I heard of them, and he said much the same about how good they were and they were always at the end of a phone through whole process. You can pay a £99 fee to them if you want a Skype consultation to discuss your personal situation and visa requirements - that's what we did. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

    UK Mail

Royal Mail will sort it all for you, once you've applied and paid a small fee. I consider it be a small fee anyway, for what is a really good service for 12 months. Check this out... https://www.royalmail.com/personal/receiving-mail/redirection?PSID=Google_PPC&cid=RD0815_GAR_SM_143
  23. Me too.. I feel like I've been waiting forever. Really hoping for that all important invite on Sunday! Be interesting to hear if you are lucky. By they way, what are your stats - what job code, when applied, points etc... You will see a lot of POI'ers have it all in their post signatures at the bottom.
  24. Hi there, the next scheduled SkillSelect Invitation Round will be on the Monday 7th September at midnight on Aus time, so usually around 3pm UK time on Sunday 6th September is when the lucky individuals start to get their emails coming through of invites. The details of the Current, and results from Past Invitation Rounds can be seen here; https://www.border.gov.au/Busi/Empl/skillselect (Under the Invitation Rounds tab). Good luck with your EOI and upcoming/eventual invite.
