  1. Hi siby6678 I am also applying for transition stream and claiming exemption as I do not have IELTS. So I am worried by what you posted. Can I you quote here what is written/ exact wording in your school letters? Maybe it has something to do with what is written in the letters. Did you ask the case officer why your school letters are not sufficient evidence? maybe CO did not receive the school letters you uploaded. Did you very with CO? Do you have an MA? what did you agent say?
  2. Your PR visa is valid for 5 years from grant so it is valid until 1 May 2020. You do not have to leave the country but if you leave the country on 2020 and return after 1 May 2020, then you need to apply for a return resident visa unless you become an Australian citizen before 1 May 2020
  3. Hi sam...did you submit IELTS or did you claim exemption from IELTS (since you applied through 457 transition stream)
  4. Just got email from MA. My nomination was approved today. My timeline: 187 Transition stream Nomination lodged: 2 February 2015 Additional docs requested: 22 April 2015 deadline given by IMMI : 29 April 2015 Add docs submitted on deadline: 29 April 2015 Nomination Approved: 1 May 2015 187 Visa: Not yet lodged...hopefully will be able to lodge by Monday
  5. Got email from my agent, she was employer was able to provide additional documents on time to meet yesterday's deadline. Hope we get approval soon
  6. Immigration department is unpredictable. You never know when your file will be allocated. Lodged my nomination 2 February and on 22 April was asked for additional documents but was only given 7 days to submit unlike most people who were given 28 days. Today is our deadline to submit additional documents. But employer has not given the documents to MA yet. MA chasing employer and hopefully employer will submit on time. We have not lodged visa as we are waiting for nomination approval as our nomination was not straightforward, and we do not want to lose $7,040 (family of 4) if nomination is refused.
  7. What is the difference between standard police check and complete police check? Does it say on the lletter you receive from AFP if it is a standard one or a complete one?
  8. Additional documents requested for my nomination on 22 April but we were given only 7 days by CO to submiited. According to MA deadline given by CO is 29 April. Anybody in same situation? My nomination was lodged 2feb 2015
  9. Additional documents requested for nomination. Nomination lodged 2 February 2015 Additional docs request 22 April 2015 Deadline given to submit 29 April 2015 (1 week only, not the usual 28 days). I wonder if they are doing something new.
  10. that's good news... Are they allocating January nominations already? I hope they are. Lodge my nomination 2 February. No new for me yet
  11. Nomination applied 2 Feb. Visa not yet lodged as we want to wait for nomination approval.
  12. We are going through 187 transition stream. Nomination ladged Feb 2015 and still waiting for word from DIBP. Evidence of training expenditure is needed for the transition stream. This is important to show employer has complied with their obligations as your 457 visa sponsor.
  13. I have a question regarding the 187 online application form on immiaccount. On the part where it asks for PREVIOUS COUNTRIES OF RESIDENCE. Do we have to list all previous countries of residence since birth OR just the countries we have lived in the last 10 years? In the form 80 it says addresses in the last 10 years, but on the online 187 application form in immiaccount, it just asks this "Has any applicant lived in a country other than the primary applicant's usual country of Residence?" I am confused if I should put only the countries I have lived in the last 10 years or all the countries since birth.
  14. What email address did you use to contact FBI to ask for clarifications. Can I have the FBI email address. Thanks
  15. What kind of ink did you use?
  16. What visa subclass did you apply? I am concerned now since I applied for RSMS 187. have been in the United States for 4 years from 1994 to 1998 (which is already beyond the 10 years mark). Should I apply for FBI check from the US? I know the DIBP website states police checks in countries you have lived for the past 10 years only. So I am concerned now since you have been asked for Japan police checks as you haven't been in Japan sine 2004 (beyond the 10 year mark already).
  17. My employer's SBS have also expired and they did not renew their SBS as they are now under Labour Agreemnet not SBS. Since my 457 was under SBS not Labour Agreement, I contacted about 10 MA's to ask about this. 8 out of the 10 agents said the SBS does not have to be current for a 187 Transition stream nomination, 2 out of 10 agents said the SBS has to be unexpired. So we decided to have the nomination lodged without renewing the SBS first. However, we are still waiting for the decision from DIBP as it was lodged only 2 months ago. We have not lodged the visa part as we wanted to wait for nomination decision as our nomination was complicated as there were technical issues with regards to the employer's ABN.
  18. I have been quoted by several MA for a 187 Transition stream nomination only (excluding the visa application part). I have been quoted between $2000-$3000. So the $2,000 you have been quoted is fair. I don't think you can get a MA (a good MA) lower than that.
  19. Read this link https://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/skilled-occupations/skills-assessed.htm You'll find the assessing authority responsible for your nominated occupation. You have to check that particular authority's requirements. I suggest you consult a good migration agent first and ask if your nominated occupation requires skills assessment as there are some occupations that do not need skills assessment.
  20. Did they say why they were not satisfied? what countries were the PCC from and when was the expiration of those clearances?
  21. Hi Stubborn1, I see in your timeline that your application was decision ready when you lodged but IMMI still asked for further documents. So I was wondering what further documents they were asking?
  22. That is the reason I ask what documents are being requested to find out if there are documents not listed in the IMMi website that the Case officers are requesting. Has anyone here been requested for a PCC from a country you have lived more than 10 years ago? IMMI website states PCC are pnly needed for countries you have lived during the last 10 years but i was wondering if there is a case when a PCC was requested beyond the 10 year period? My wife lived in the USA from 1994 to 1998 which is 17 years ago, are we going to be asked to provide PCC from the USA eventhough its beyond the 10 year mark?
