  1. Hi, Can anyone recommend the best PAYG option for use within Australia. I won't be making international calls just local in the NT mostly. TIA
  2. I'm sorry if I sound dim but how do you screenshot almost 80,000 FB messages?
  3. I have an existing Moneycorp account in London paying my pension into my Spanish bank account. When I switch to paying into Aus account do I get free transfer?
  4. Thanks for your response Nemesis. So how do you prove you did not intend to stay apart from a return flight ticket?
  5. Hi All, Please excuse me if you think I am being naive but..... If, as I continue to be told that it is improper, deceptive etc to enter Australia on the above visa and then apply onshore for a Subclass 820 Partner Temporary Visa, why don't immigration state when one applies for a 651 that you cannot enter Australia as a tourist and apply once there for a 820 or any other visa that, if accepted, allows you to stay until a decision is made. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
  6. Hi all, Problem solved. I simply emailed eVisitor.Helpdesk@immi.gov.au with my new passport number and expiry date and they responded with a new visa with new passport details and original dates. Did not ask for scanned copy of passport pages.
  7. Thanks welljock. I did see this from a post dated 2013 but thought it might be out of date by now the way things change. I'll give it a go.

    Form 929

Good morning all, I have a current eVisitor visa (subclass 651 ) Today I received my new replacement UK passport and logged into my immi account thinking I could fill in Form 929 online and electronically send it to The Department of Immigration and Border Protection to advise them of the new passport. However, Part A. Section 3. Date of Birth. It will not allow me to proceed past my entering my birthdate. I type in 19 and cannot fill in the month!! Am I being thick or is there a fault with this form. I have now printed it off, filled it in with a pen and will post it along with a photocopy of the two relevant passport pages in colour. Do I post it to the eVisitor Global Processing Centre in Hobart? Yours exasperated. Dave in Spain.
  9. Thanks for that. Just wondered if they might think it odd that being married I would probably apply for a Subclass 820 Partner Temporary when I got back to Australia and cancel the 651 because it is supposed to be a tourist visa. What I can't understand is why they don't have a clause in the 651 stating that it cannot be used for people to get to Australia and apply for Partner visa's.
  10. Hi Ozmaniac, My life gets more complicated. I am renewing my passport in January and know i have to advise immigration of the new number etc. My Australian partner now wants to get married in the UK next March so that all her UK friends can be there. We will be flying back together in April, me still on my 651 e-visitor visa. Do I have to tell immigration that I am married as part of my "Change of circumstances". I can't remember if when applying for the 651 if marital status was one of the questions. Thanks for any help you can give.
  11. Hi Maggie, It states "Maintaining a valid Visa". Your visa allows you multiple entries to Australia until June 17th 2015. You are allowed to stay for a period of 3 months on each arrival. It is important to take note of these dates. You will need to leave Australia or make alternative arrangements with the department before this date or you will become unlawful. If you think you will not be able to depart Australia by the date your visa expires, you should contact the department as soon as possible.
  12. Quick question. My current visa expires on June 17th 2015. I used it this year for 3 months. Can I apply for a new one next March as I want to come back over end of March after the 17th for 3 months? If yes will the new one commence on June 18th 2015? TIA
  13. I think I have answered my own question. Thanks.
  14. Good morning, Can I apply for a new 651 before the one I have now expires? TIA
  15. Thanks Westly. What would you do in my case? TIA.
  16. What age? 67 is young. What makes you think I have more contacts in Spain than Australia. In fact it is the opposite.
  17. Thank you for all your advice. I know it's the more expensive route but we have discussed this and we think it's best for me to apply for a PMV when I return to Spain next month. It will take 10-14 months for the visa to be granted but I have to sell my villa in Spain in the meanwhile and get my UK and Spanish CRB checks done when they ask for them. My medical can also be done in Spain I guess. When granted I will come over and we will get married. I will then apply for the Partner Provisional Visa. Can anyone confirm if I will have a problem getting a Partner Provisional visa because of my age (67). As far as I know I am in excellent health. TIA
  18. In Spain she would have to get Residencia to be recognised and get on the Spanish health system SIPS. If you stay more than 183 days in Spain in one year you have to by law become a resident. She would also need to open a Spanish bank account. Everything over there is in my name and as I will be selling my villa and car to come to Australia it really is not worth it. Thanks for your suggestion.
  19. Thank you College Girl. Good advice.
  20. Thanks MaggieMay. I was wondering how we can prove we live together as a married couple when I can't stay in Australia for a reasonable amount of time.
  21. Thanks Blossom. I knew that.. I am sifting through lots of stuff and have to accept that the soonest we can be together here in Australia is going to be a couple of years!!!
  22. Hi, I'm new to this forum. This is my situation. I am 67, a UK citizen living in Spain. My lady is 66 and resident in Australia. I appreciate there are many hoops to jump through and a long wait before I can come here to live with her. First things first. Can I get married to her here while visiting on a tourist visa rather than apply for a Prospective Marriage (300) visa and wait for 10 - 14 months? Is it better to do this ( i.e get married here) and then apply for a Partner Provisional (309) visa? There will be many more questions and I have found the forum extremely helpful in my research. Thanks in advance.
