  1. Where did I state it was "quite straightforward"? It was bloody hard work and not for the faint hearted. If you are not an organised person and do not have the relevant information to hand you are going to struggle in my opinion.
  2. Thank you Quinkla & ABL 275. Looking at the Migration Act and it's contents it looks like thousands of people innocently helping others will now stop for fear of being fined. I'm sorry if I have opened a can of worms but my offer was done in all innocence.
  3. Blimey I was only trying to help, not doing it for reward!! So are you telling us that anyone who gives a few tips about filling in forms etc is liable to prosecution? I also got a massive amount of help from another ex pat forum.
  4. I married my Australian wife in the UK in January last year. Came over here with her straight away on a tourist visa and applied onshore for a Temporary Partner Visa subclass 820 just before my tourist visa ran out. I have just received this morning my Temporary Partner Visa. I am 69 and she is 68 and we are both financially sound. Not saying this will work for others but just sharing our experience. I did not use an agent but the form filling and information they require is very taxing and time consuming.
  5. This morning after 14 months since applying I have finally received my Temporary Partner Visa. I did not use an agent and got most of the information and tips from people on this forum. A massive thank you to everyone who helped me and to this amazing forum. I am quite happy to help anyone else who is going through or needs assistance in the information that immigration needs for the application. I applied in Australia after coming here on a tourist visa from the UK after marrying my wife in the UK.
  6. Just received mine. I contacted my Spanish solicitor and she applied for it using Power of Attorney. It took her 2 months to get it from the Ministerio De Justica. I would not have wanted to do it on my own from Australia. She charged me 133 Euro's.
  7. Yes I will do it latest first. I am trying to fill in the form online but it refuses to let me enter my date of birth only accepting day and month i.e 19/01. Does anyone know of a special programme to do this?

    Form 80

After waiting 16 months for my Onshore Temporary Partner visa I have finally been contacted by a case officer. They have requested me to fill in Form 80. Re Q17 on this form. It states that they want addresses in chronological order which I thought was most recent last, starting with first address lived in. But in the square at the top next to "date from" headed "date to" they have typed CURRENT which only allows you to complete in reverse chronological order. Then onto Q18 - International travel they ask for chronological order but with no CURRENT printed in the Date to box at the top. Bloody form is driving me crazy. Any advice please?
  9. That's where I have put my UK Police Check Cert.
  10. Checked and you cannot delete attachments. I thought it would prevent me from loading more attachments once I reached 60 but you know what thought thought!! Not hard to upload more than 60 if you think the info is relevant, two or three photos only, 3 invitations to weddings and birthday party. Will have to wait and see if I get a slapped wrist.
  11. Did that max 5 mb per file. Just went overboard.
  12. After applying for my temporary Partner Visa last June I am at the stage where I have not been appointed a C.O. but have had my medical and UK Police check as requested by Immigration. I am apparently nearing the front of the queue. Online it informs me that I have submitted 77 attachments when the limit is 60. I only saw this after they updated the website a couple of months ago, I don't remember seeing it on the previous website. Because of this I have attached my UK Police Check certificate and a couple of other attachments to my wife's Sponsorship application site where there is a lot of space. Is it OK to do this and should I delete 17 attachments from my application and resubmit them onto my wife's Sponsorship site? Is there an email address that I can contact immigration to explain what has happened? Any advice much appreciated.
  13. Thanks for your replies. Am I going to encounter problems re 77 documents? Should I delete 17 if I can and re apply them on my wife's sponsorship application?
  14. Applied on line mid June for this visa. Went on immi site today and looks like they have upgraded the info on there. They now show how many documents I have submitted. The limit is 60 and I have downloaded 77. I didn't count them before because I thought if I had reached the limit it would stop me downloading them. Is this a problem or will they filter out the less important ones? I have not been allocated a CO yet but in my account it is advising me that I should now get my medical done. I thought that the CO would email me advising that this is due. Can anyone please advise? TIA
  15. 140 dollars but you cannot pay by DEBIT card because it is a written application, not online. It is not for fixed dates of travel. Mine is for 6 months multiple leave and return to Australia.
  16. Not according to the letter I received. "This bridging visa B replaces the previous Bridging visa A granted in association with your application for a Partner (Temporary) visa. "If you are in Australia after 24th March 2016, this bridging visa allows you to remain in Australia, but not to travel overseas again, until your substantive visa application is decided."
  17. For those interested I posted my application to the Darwin office on August 19th & received confirmation today 24th August by email. This Bridging Visa B is valid for 6 months for multiple exit & entry to Australia & replaces my Bridging Visa "A".
  18. Is it true that this visa cannot now be applied for online? Also will it be issued for a few days break in Bali? TIA
  19. Thanks Nemesis. I sent my application online at 6pm and received acknowledgement of Bridging Visa A at 8am this morning. Just got to do second stage and upload my documents today. Just want to say thanks to this forum. Can't imagine tackling this without the hints and tips.
  20. I am about to launch into the online site and complete my 47SP. Can I type out the "evidence that your relationship is genuine" online and am I restricted to 2000 characters? I have read that folk have filled 2-3 pages on this subject. Also when I register online and pay do you get more time to provide documents or do they have to be uploaded on application. Just don't want to get going and realise there is something I forgot. TIA Dave

    Medical

I was under the impression that when applying for a Partner Visa within Australia you would be asked by the authorities to have a medical around the same time as the police check so that it was up to date. Just downloaded a copy of the Partner Migration booklet and it states that you should have the medical done by Bupa Medical Visa Services before you apply. Is this correct? TIA
  22. Thanks for that. I am in Mataranka 1 hour South of Katherine and 4 hours South of Darwin so Telstra it is then!!
