  1. Another grant yesterday (Lodged February, but onshore). http://www.expatforum.com/expats/australia-expat-forum-expats-living-australia/364417-subclass-190-slow-grant-speed-lets-share-time-lines-236.html#post4109842
  2. If you have front loaded all of your documents, you may not hear from your CO until the Grant your Visa, or as you for more information. So, it is possible for you to never hear from your CO.
  3. Another Grant  http://www.expatforum.com/expats/australia-expat-forum-expats-living-australia/364417-subclass-190-slow-grant-speed-lets-share-time-lines-222.html#post4094850
  4. Hi Clock, You would be better creating a new Thread for your question. If you post a new thread, you are more likely to find someone who can answer your question accurately. Cheers Eddie
  5. Hi Wen, These were the links posted on "190 January Gang", http://www.expatforum.com/expats/australia-expat-forum-expats-living-australia/364417-subclass-190-slow-grant-speed-lets-share-time-lines-203.html http://www.expatforum.com/expats/australia-expat-forum-expats-living-australia/364417-subclass-190-slow-grant-speed-lets-share-time-lines-201.html Cheers Eddie
  6. We've not received any delay email. Timeline (as per signature).
  7. Hi G, There have been plenty of post stating that as long as it is coloured scanned copies of the originals then they do no need to be certified. I uploaded all of our documents as coloured scanned, with none of them certified. Our CO has not requested any of them be certified and re-loaded. Cheers Eddie
  8. Massive Congratulations Weaz. Gives the rest of us hope!!!
  9. Things are too quiet........:dull: Would be really nice to see some of us January applicants start to get Grants....
  10. That looks to me, as though they are only counting the 5yrs from 2003 - 2008 as experience for the ICT Support Engineer ANZSCO Code. Does his other Job Titles, since 2008, have responsibilities that would be classed under the same code?
  11. Hi Wen, Most people will say yes, get them certified, I was previously told that as long as it is a coloured scanned of the original that it does not need to be certified, I've not certified any of our documents as they have all been scanned originals, and have not received any email from CO requesting that they be certified. Cheers Eddie
  12. Hi Oz111, I sent an email to CO to confirm that our medicals had been successfully uploaded and they responded with a short and sweet email, basically saying yes but with no further information. Haven't heard anythin since that email on 11th April. Just patiently waiting........
  13. The "Team" refers to the immigration team that your CO belongs to. If your CO sends you an email it will normally say where they are based and what team they belong to.
  14. It'll all be worth the hassle when you finally get that Golden Ticket!!
  15. Can I suggest that everybody updates their Signatures with info of :- Date of State Nomination, Date of Visa Lodgement, Date CO Assigned, Date Docs Uploaded It helps others understand where they may sit in respect to everybody else on the waiting queue. Cheers Eddie
  16. Hi Doll, What's your Timeline?? When did you apply, get co, etc... Cheers Eddie
  17. At least they are processing. We've got Team 2 as well. Fingers crossed we hear soon then.
  18. Hi Roxy, Did you front load your PC and Meds, or did you wait for your CO assignment?? Cheers Eddie
  19. Congratulations Roxy. That is brilliant news. Gives us all a little hope that ours will be granted soon! Can you please share your timeline for us? Cheers Eddie
  20. Your diploma at Art College will have no bearing on your ACS Skills Assessment, or the points that you can claim for experience/education. The skills assessment does not actually gain you the points itself. Your ACS skills assessment is an aid for immigration to calculate your points based on the number of years experience ACS confirms that you have and also the standard of the qualification that you have submitted to ACS for assessment. The email sent from ACS for your skills assessment will detail the number of years experience and the level of your qualification.

    What Next?

Good luck with the process, it'll certainly be an adventure (has been for us, so far) and seeking a better life.. That's all we're looking for too.

    What Next?

Yeah, you should be fine with what you have selected. But if you wish to go for the 190 you will need to contact the state you wish to live in. With the 190 you will be tied to that state for the first 2 years of your new life in Australia. I'm not sure what the situation is if you can apply to more than one state at a time, or if you have to apply individually and wait for an answer before you can officially apply to another. We only applied to Victoria for State Sponsorship, because that's where we want to be. It appears that the 189's are being processed quicker than the 190's at the moment, so if you have enough points for the 189 (i.e. not needing the 5 points for state Sponsorship), I would definitely be going the 189 route. Cheers Eddie

    What Next?

For 190 you would also need to apply for State Sponsorship. Most States expect you to fill in an application. I believe 489 is not Permanent Visa, but Provisional and only lasts 4 years. For 189 you will get an invite to formally apply in a specific order, but if you have enough points this is probably the way to go.
