  1. We are Adelaide T2, and lodged January. So you may have longer to wait than you think..... Just need to chill a little..
  2. I don't believe there is a maximum time limit. I believe the time scales always quoted are approximate.
  3. To All who are waiting patiently... What occupations are we all waiting with for SS? I'm Developer Programmer - 261312!
  4. How do you all keep your sanity, with all this waiting? Have you all received the delay email, that some people have received? What's been your timelines? (i.e. CO Assigned, Meds Requested/Uploaded)
  5. Why, why, why, why are people who lodged in February getting their visa grants before us January people?????:arghh::confused:
  6. Bank holiday weekend, just adding to the waiting time.
  7. I would think so. You can double check by logging into your Immi account and checking your application. Where it previously had a link to the e-medical to allow you to set up your check it should now show as "No health examinations are required for this person for....." - Which indicates that your CO now has the finalised medicals.
  8. Hi Peasy, I agree with GetMeDownUnder and MaggieMay24. I would look at doing the application yourself, unless there is something causing a major concern about you situation. Adding your boyfriend should not really be a big issue. Immigration will ask you too provide information and prove the length and depth of your relationship . Which only you will be able to do. An Agent cannot conjure up information for you. We are just getting to the end of our application. We applied under subclass 190, and are now just at the waiting stage of getting a final answer from our Case Officer (Hopefully good news). Some of the forms are quite intense to fill in, but you would have to collate all of the information for the Agent anyway, so why pay someone loads of money to do something that is well within most reasonably educated peoples ability. Hope this helps. I've personally found this Forum a great source for information.
  9. Yes, ACS will validate both your education and experience, but the Department of Immigration have the ultimate say in how may points you get. ACS will not say how many points you can obtain. I believe you can apply for state nomination at any time, as there is no definitive dates for applying to the state for sponsorship. While you are getting your documents together for the state nomination application you should get your Expression of Interest set up and ready to be submitted at the same time as you submit your application for state sponsorship. The state will send you an email informing you of whether you have been successful or unsuccessful in obtaining state sponsorship, but it will be the Department of Immigration that will send an email asking you to formally apply for the 190 Visa. Hope this helps.
  10. Great to hear 190 Visa's still being granted . Which forum did you hear this?
  11. You can apply for state nomination at any time, as long as you have a positive skill select assessment for a job title within their required occupation list.
  12. Sent an email to my CO to double check that Health Checks have been received. I was hoping they would give an indication of how much longer we would have to wait, but the reply email was short and sweet. They only confirmed that all medicals had been cleared, but no mention of time-scales or any delays to the granting of a visa. Not sure if this is good news or not. Just need to keep waiting and see what happens. Fingers and toes crossed we hear something soon.
  13. Not good news. I've been build my hopes up that we would hear soon, and that it was mainly SA and WA that have been receiving the email. We haven't received any email yet, so still keeping fingers crossed that there may be some positive movement soon What occupation have you got sponsorship for?
  14. @weaz -sorry to hear the news of the "delay email" being sent to you. Waiting is hard enough, but to have the waiting time extended is frustrating. Seems to be folk that have applied for State Sponsprship for SA and WA that are receiving the email. Has anybody out there applying for Victoria State Sponsorship received the dreaded "delay email"??? Cheers Eddie
  15. Was your 70 points including the 5 points from State Nomination? If so, you would still have 65 points to apply for a 189 (rather than the 190). I believe the processing time for 189 is pretty much the same as the 190 nowadays.. https://www.immi.gov.au/about/charters/client-services-charter/visas/8.0.htm Cheers Eddie
  16. Hi Jamie, This link gives processing times, but does not define when you should have a CO by. http://www.immi.gov.au/about/charters/client-services-charter/visas/5.0.htm. Cheers Eddie
  17. Hi Kiran, Sorry cant answer your questio. Not heard of anybody being referred to thecommon wealth officer. Hopefully somebodg else will come along with an answer. Fingers crossed you dont have long to wait, for the answer you want... Cheers Eddie
  18. Hi Sira, Children over 5 need to supply urine sample. My daughter aged 8 bad to do it. But no blood test required. Cheers Eddie
  19. Hi Wen66, The Medical is pretty harmless. What age are your boys? Will only need to wee in the pot if over 5. Medical for kids is basically height, weight and medical history questions. Only bizarre thing is that they actually ask the kids the list of 15 or so questions about TB, HIV, etc,... Meds for adults is basically Height, Weight, Blood Pressure, quick eye test, Chest X-ray, blood tests and Medical history... We were told by our Medical place that it will take 7 days to finalise results.. Good Luck!! Cheers Eddie
  20. Police Checks done and Uploaded. Medicals done today. Was told by medical centre that it would take 7 days to finalise the results and send to IMMI. The waiting game continues....:twitcy: Lets hope we get a Visa grant shortly after, and not having to wait until July.
  21. That's great news, Congrats. Just the waiting game for a Case Office, and then the Visa grant.
  22. Yeah, I created my EOI first and then applied of VIC SS. I then received an email stating that I had secured nomination from Victoria, and the very next day I received my email from IMMI asking me to formally apply for our Residential Visa. Cheers Eddie
