  1. this entire thread is about a generalisation. Throwing words like facist, racist or nazi about for nothing is getting out of hand.
  2. You will need to get a marriage visa I believe. I don't think you can just get married but I'm not an expert.
  3. Where are you located now? Where do you plan on the wedding being?
  4. You know fine well when I made my comment it wasn't meant to apply literally to everyone at any point in history, my point is look at the article posted and it describes my dad a hard working normal bloke. It probably describes about 80% of 'normal' working boxes. Are 80% of normal blokes akin to Mussolini? Point proven.
  5. yes but we are limited in our trade agreements, we can't just agree our own without any restriction from the EU.
  6. in my 'English' eyes living in Scotland the SNPs idea was farcical anyway. I totally understand the idea of an independent Scotland I do. The idea of an 'independent' Scotland in the EU seemed pointless as the EU is on a road to a single federal state in all but name.
  7. The more time goes on the more I think I will be voting UKIP. I think the only real options I have are Labour or UKIP as the tories won't get a sniff.
  8. I dont think he expects them to replace it, he wants to trade with both. He doesn't want to suddenly stop trading with Germans or French he wants a more open market with less bars to who you can and cant trade with. Doesn't sound very much like isolationism to me.
  9. But that issue is huge to so many people and I think they will get a much bigger share of the vote than people are expecting. I think even Labour could be forced on the issue if UKIP get a huge proportion of votes but few MPs the outcry could be too much for Wallace to cope with.
  10. If its a vote for him to be launched in to space on a one way mission to Mars I vote Russell Brand as well.
  11. Whilst you are correct about the levels of immigration being higher now it is levels of immigration we cant control. The levels of immigration under labour were much more controllable.
  12. No, next question. Its a phrase that is banded around by the left wing who don't like other peoples views.
  13. Whats wrong with having a car park outside? You didn't find it odd the first time you saw it?
  14. The fact so many are drive in is really weird.
  15. As someone who has served in Afghanistan I can tell you it is not a war crime and saying it is belittles the term.
  16. I think peoples fear is that a very small minority of people effectively will have control if theres an SNP coalition. I understand where you are coming from on Scotland being subjected to a Tory government but the argument is flawed in that the majority of Britains voted Tory, the majority will not vote SNP and theres a real fear they will just be out for themselves/Scotland not the entire country. Lib Dems have had their critics but they haven't held back the country to further their own objectives in the last 5 years. Now if the people of Scotland do not wish to be controlled potentially by people elected south of the border they have had several chances to correct this, we south of the border have never had a choice. 5 million Scots cant control the power of 60 million others.
  17. Labour has no interest in the working man, I still live in the UK and I haven't heard of anyone saying they haven't had decent care. The NHS budget hasn't been cut by the coalition.
  18. i just feel it's a subject that needs a referendum owing to what I percieve as public feeling. If it doesn't come off in not bother what happens to UKIP I'm not a UKIP fan I just know Labour won't give the public a voice and UKIP are the only party in my area that could maybe beat Labour. As I said I'm not sure which way I would vote.
  19. yes of course it would be democratic the people would have spoken.
  20. Find out which hospital is closest from the immigration website and call them and ask to get a definitive answer. On here people can only tell you their experiences which might not be the same as you. If memory serves me right mine was about £400 last June in Edinburgh, just 1 adult.
  21. Landing in Australia the day after the vote? I don't expect they will do much for people in my position :biglaugh: But I honestly think a vote on the EU has to happen I don't even know which way I would vote myself but certain parties are just ignoring what is a huge issue in this country and basically saying we know better than you. There should be a campaign run like in Scotland where the pros and cons are laid out for all to see engage with the public let them decide in a democratic fashion.
  22. Hi im shipping 5 boxes to Sydney with the excess baggage company and just wondered what people would do for insurance. They have their own policy just wondered if i was better going with someone else.
  23. I really hope the tories get back in to power, ideally under their own steam but I cant see it. Living in a very working class town in the north I feel I have no option but to vote UKIP, the Tories simply won't get a sniff of it here and Labour are just ignoring the things I am most concerned about. I have no real love of UKIP but Labour just are not listening.
  24. You say you want to move home which is a fair comment but have you been home recently? A lot changes in 11 years.
