    I was begining to think that an agent was a waste of precious time too - they cannot bump you up the list - but what others might be forgetting is that it took us months working with an agent to get the application right before submission. And that may have made all the difference!! Congrats Kieran

    Well folks, Did i ever think the day would come that i would be updating https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aopvk3Y5mD7HdGp5V2hESFluN3V0QWNBTDg2TWJoLVE#gid=0 the spreadsheet with - date visa awarded 21 May 2013. 157 days 5.2 months. I am absolutley thrilled and shocked as they are getting to them quick now. Flight booked for August, as I thought I would have to wait till then. Thinking about you folks still waiting - dont worry it will come around in no time!!!! :chatterbox:

    just booked my ticket to Oz - BUT is only for a holiday - 3 weeks at Easter - It'll be a whole year since have seen my other half. but it looks like it will be August before I'll get my real visa!! Only submitted 5 weeks ago, after months of getting everything together. But the waiting is terrible!!

    I was a little bit confused as how to add my stats But I am all sorted now!! - In settings ( beside log out above) select my settings then scroll down to edit signature. Insert here - when you submitted, when you did your meds and anything else that might be helpful. Most of all insert when you visa was awarded. don't forget the smiley face!!:wink: This really does help others new to the site (like me) to assess how the process works and how long we should expect to wait as the process moves forward. - don't forget to click Show your signature this will be displayed only when you go to post a Quick reply. Hope this helps others - as I was getting a bit of a headache trying to find it!!

    That doesnt sound right at all. I think you need to contact someone. I applied in Dec and did my medical the other day. Thats too long not to have heard anything at all. Maybe they have a wrong email for you or something??

    Be careful how you go about this, especially before you get your \perm res- if you ever intend getting a mortgage in Oz - check out forms - will you need to produce a credit report from UK to get one? - maybe ask a broker over there. I'm m not familiar with the UK - but the whole idea of bankruptcy is that you could walk away with out that 60 k burden and start again after a couple of years. I have a funny feeling you may have to be resident in the UK though. Find out if you can do it with Oz solicitor or Court. Its not the same as throwing back the keys - then you would be left with the burden - there is a money advice service in the UK that's free - maybe you could email them. they are not looking for your money - just to help. good luck
