  1. For an employer sponsored visa, I think they should be included in the count for that question provided you want them to be included in your visa. I'm currently filling in my 47SP for a partner visa and there is a similar question. I am not including my husband as he is an Australian citizen so he is not going to be included on my visa. Therefore, my answer is 1 (just me!). If I had a child and they needed to be on the visa then I would answer 2 (my child and I). On that basis, if you partner doesn't have their own visa and needs to be included on yours then I think you should include them in that answer. I'm no expert though - just my view from filling in the partner visa forms
  2. Hi everyone Just thought I'd pop a quick post up to say hello and introduce myself. I'm 26, currently living just outside of London and I'm just getting started on applying for my 309 offshore partner visa to Oz. My husband is Australian and we've been together for nearly 4 years (and married for nearly 2) so we're hoping the process should be fairly straightforward provided we can get all the evidence together that the London embassy need...fingers crossed! We're hoping to leave the UK in the new year, do a bit of travelling then arrive in Oz in around a year. I'm an actuary so we're hoping it shouldn't take too long to pick up work although we have no idea where we'll actually end up. Hubby is from Canberra and we both really like it but its not got the biggest range of jobs for me and he can probably pick up work anywhere so we are likely to end up somewhere else. I've got fantasies of ending up near a deserted beach up in Queensland where I can laze in a hammock swinging from palm trees at the weekend...hehe  Anyway, good to meet you all! KT
  3. Hey Brucey I can't offer any advice as I'm completely new to all of this but I can definitely say that I sympathise with you! My husband and I are collating all our evidence at the moment (I'm a scot, he's the aussie) and we're looking at the pile of docs we've gathered wondering whether they really want to see everything that we think they've asked for? We've been living together for nearly 4 years now so there is definitely a lot... I don't think we'll fill 5 lever arches, but it will certainly be a good wad of paper that gets sent I think our approach is going to be to send 1 page from bank statements for each month for the past 12, then maybe 1 for every 3 months prior to that. That cuts the amount of paper down hugely but still gets across the message...or so we hope! KT
