Hi I've come home for Christmas and have a fee things that I want to take back to oz from my parents house plus some Christmas gifts. Can anyone recommend a company to use for this I'll probably only have 2 boxes Many thanks in advance Jit

Hi Emma I know some people that live in Eatons Hill and really like it there. It seems to have a great school but I think it is more pricey to live there than say its neighbouring areas (e.g Albany Creek). Hamilton is also quite close by and again i've heard good things about that area too. Not been here that long so can't advise well, but hopefully more info will come along soon for you. Lyca mobile have cheap rates as do Amaysim You can buy the sim cards from most places as long as your phones are unlocked. http://www.amaysim.com.au/ http://www.lycamobile.com.au/en/ Plus the added bonus of calling internationally too We are on optus networks and can call each other for free but agree that the pre-paid expiry sucks! There are apps that you can use too but they use wifi or need data for it to work - ie WhatsApp, Viber, Skype Not sure if this helps you in anyway.

I think there is a train station close by that would take you directly into the CBD - dont know what the service is like though. I wouldn't want to drive into the CBD!!!

Hi Such an emotional week for you I guess with excitement and nerves etc. It will be fab!! We spent 5 days in Singapore before flying into Brisbane. Its a great way to break up the journey so we didn't feel as jet lagged as we did the last time we came (that was a holiday though). We found it easier to adjust to the timezone. Sentosa Island was nice and has a theme park too. Its a nice day out but to be honest the beaches on the sunny coast are much nicer than sentosa. We didn't do the botanical gardens but heard its lovely. If you can try to experience the quays during the evening dinner/drinks - I think there are 3 - Robertson, Clarke and Boat. Each have a different atmosphere but all safe places to go even with kiddies. I have to add the service on Singapore Airlines was fab. The food was good and the seemed to help out the families really well. Where abouts are you going to be staying in Brisbane? Good luck with your move over x

I have some friends that live in Bulimba and absolutely love it. Oxford Street has a great vibe with loads of lovely places to eat/drink. Not sure about the noise though. Great link into the city via the citycat. Hope you love it there too Good luck

Venue: Bavarian Bier Cafe Eagle street Pier Level 1/45 Eagle St, Brisbane QLD 4000 http://www.bavarianbiercafe.com/venues/view/17 Time: 5:30 pm onwards (last time we were there until 9pm) I know there were a lot of younger people/couples in Brisbane that were looking to meet other young couples. Hi guys Hubby and I are new to Brisbane too. I have arranged 2 meet ups now and have met some lovely people. I will probably arrange another in February so just keep a look out on here. There is also another meet up going in every first Thursday of the month in the city for drinks. They do not post on here but I will let you know the details. We went to the last one which was held at the Bavarian Bier Cafe and met some nice people there too. I hope to meet you soon
