  1. a question about the waiting room: everything including our PCCs show as met, only the medicals still as required. That is probably because the doctor is sending the forms and everything by ordinary mail and we had our medicals on the 16th so they probably have not arrived yet. But will I know when they arrive?? Anyone any idea on how long that could take? And when are we allowed to sit (or stand) in the waiting room?
  2. I'm sorry, I have no answer. Just that it is extremely unfair to frustrate someones future just because you don't want to spend one minute to get a contract!! That's just awful! I don't know, maybe you have legal rights?? or maybe, the CEO has signed the reference letter, so could you know turn to HR for the contract??
  3. Congratulations!!!!
  4. This is great news for cat5! If I understand correctly, they have 6000 cat4 in the backlog, which is max 2 months worth of processing? So somewhere in Feb2012 they should start processing cat5? Apart from that they received an average of 200 cat4 new applications a week since 1 Juli 2011, let's say they get 100 a week for cat 1 and 3 (that's a complete guess, so don't ask me where I got that), which means they can do about 700 a week for cat5 after that. There is 43k of cat5 backlog, which takes about 60 weeks (14 months)?
  5. Our agent has been saying the same thing from the start. I think because what anlopa says: they don't want to be accountable in case something goes wrong. We have put our house up for sale though, two months ago. If we sell the house too early we will have to rent or (if the visa is not granted) find another place to live. For us the risk of not selling our house in time was/is too high. I'd rather rent for a while and be free to leave whenever we want to. And maybe I am naive, but I personally haven't seen anyone (in 2011) not getting a grant after doing medicals and all. It probably happened somewhere, but not often. So I think for us in our situation the risk of not selling the house in time is higher than the risk of not getting a grant.
  6. The update is 30 June for online application and 24 June for paper application, I think? I would probably give them a call, if they passed your date you should have a CO.
  7. And congratulations to you too!! Good luck with the medicals and all
  8. COngratulations  great start of the week :jiggy:
  9. I went to Antwerpen  He was fine, no strange questions or groping, just some ordinary tests ('can you read those letters') and some questions, no problems at all. He was great for the kids too, our youngest was rather scared and he had her laughing in no time. He took his time, we had an appointment at 1.30 pm, came in half an hour early because there was no traffic jam (!), and went away again an 3.15 pm. It cost a total of 330 euros, for us and our two kids, including the x-rays. so far, no complaints! Just hoping he will get the results over to where they should go asap
  10. had our medicals today, he said the blood test would take a week and he would send everything over afterwards. No eHealth.... fingers crossed....

  19. Well, I'm glad you like your spreadsheet better now. I do ! I do not know the team, my agent didn't put that in his letter. Can I see that somewhere else? Congrats too to TraxFM and higgers :jiggy:!
  20. YESSSSSS Tania, would you turn us pink please??? We have a CO. He only asks for medicals and police checks and my OH needs a new passport. Nothing else. I'm soooooo relieved! We have medicals booked for 16 November, and police check forms are prepared and waiting :-)
  21. Bpremji: if the spreadsheet can't do 29th, I'll do 27th...
  22. well, yes, I'm getting positively bald here! I'm happy to see people get COs though, it means that things are still moving. As long as there is movement, there is hope! For other March and April applicants too ;-) And May soon!
  23. I did - he won't - he says I am being impatient and that official dates are not beyond my date. He's probably right
  24. Argh! Ok, I'll go for 29th Feb ;-) that one can't be taken!
  25. Hi... don't really know what to make of it... we still don't have a CO ... that could mean the date is not above 13th Feb... or something else is wrong ... I'll bet on 28th Feb, that would let our agent contact DIAC and ask why we are not allocated...
