Our notification email from Victoria SS mentioned emailing them with EOI number so this is what we did too, we too were a bit worried because there didn't seem to be anywhere to state that you already had SS. Fingers crossed!

Not sure if it will be the same for everyone though, might depend on when you applied for SS???? This is just what has happened for us.

We applied to Victoria in January and it took 19 weeks for us to get an answer, it states on our letter that if we apply after the 1st July and before SS runs out we would get invited to apply once our EOI had been submitted.

We have SS and don't have to reapply after 1st July we were told that if applying after 1st July we would automatically be invited.

It will also help us as my hubby was struggling to get maximum points for his IELTS so now the results he has will give us the 60 points to apply, we also have SS so will automatically be invited to apply, at last some good news after last years disaster!!!!

Yes you're right, OH aussie work work experience fell short of just 4 weeks(he actually had 17 months experience in total but it was calculated from date of application) we couldnt claim the extra points needed so it was a void application due to not enough points!!!:mad: very frustrating!!! all that money gone....................................:wacko:

We were team 2 as well. Trying to persuade my OH that we should use a migration agent now, think he is just a bit concerned about money..... will keep trying :chatterbox: <<<<<<<<<<this was me last night!!!!!

Hubby will need to retake the IELTS test to qualify for full marks off 20 points, he got 7,7,8,9 last time which was enough before new changes in July 2011, so will get that sorted as soon as. Need to check which states are definately sponsoring his qualification. I am assuming that we will have to medicals done again for a 'new' application?? I suppose ploice checks will be ok as long as the dont run out?

So, not good news from our camp I'm afraid, no right to appeal the decision. So gutted...... Dont know where we go from here??? I dont want to give up on my dream just yet............. Maybe state sponsorship???? will spend some time later looking into it but not really sure how it all works.................???????? Best start saving them pennies!!! if we do anything its going to have to been sooner rather than later...OH turns 45 next November and would like to get it before the July 2012 changes...

Would just like to say congratulations to all you guys who got CO;s today, I guess you could say we got ours too, just not with the news we hoped for, today has been an emtional rollercoaster and I still havent got off, still unsure as to what our next step is, got a lot of thinking to do and probably saving too, sadly time isnt on our side either as we are both in our 40's Anyway hope it continues to be a good week for you all with CO's, visa's and house sales x
