They said that the work experience has to be in the 48 months immediatley from date of application and we applied on 1/6/2011 so that would make it june 1st 2007, so had we applied in may we would of been fine, I am so upset I dont know what to do, is there anyone on here that might be able to give me some advice

Omg.......devastating news to wake up to we have been refused our visa!!!! I am in tears and dont know what to do next. Oh's work experience in oz was from jan 2007-may 2008,(which is over 12 months) however they are using the dates june 2007- june 2011 for the relevant 12 months experience. So his is 4 weeks short of the 12 months, i am so upset that this has happened and would like some advice please, does anyone know who i can get some advice from....please please please hellp me.....

Tania, was this with express estate agents?? How have you found them to be?? we had a meeting with one of there local reps a few weeks ago and OH is keen to use them when we want to sell, they gave a good sales pitch, so I am interested in what you thought???

Hope your wait will soon be over, I am getting frustrated already and we dont even have a CO yet!!! I suppose good things come to those who wait but the waiting is soooo hard!!! And its only been 6 months since we lodged our application, but really we started the whole process months before that so it seems like longer....... Fingers crossed your hear before the weekend.

We will put our house on the market as soon as we know about our visa, I work from home as a childminder so cant really do much else, have only told one parent of our plans because her child will be leaving next year to go to school anyway, dont want to risk the others taking their children away in a panic yet as we are still trying to save as much as possible for the move. Hopefully we will sell before we leave.

They have to have a good reason not to grant the visa and even then I think you can appeal? Like you said I dont dont how Tania, Anlopa and all the others coped with it all going on for years.. Fingers crossed you hear soon
