The waiting is the hardest bit!! We lodged in August!! I'm not sure what happens to medicals once they get referred, if you have to provide further information or go for further tests do you then up at the back of the queue again????

Thank you for this, we emailed them and got a reply this morning, they have the medicals but they have a back log!! At least we know they have them!! Back to waiting!!!!

Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could help me, we applied for 190 in August we had medicals done on the 10/10/12, there is a stong chance that my husbands medicals will be referred but things have changed since we applied the first time and I'm not sure how we will find out if they have been referred? I can't seem to log on to look at the status of our application. Will our CO tell us what we need to do?? thanks in advance

The only childcare related occupation on the list is childcare centre manager for which i think you need a degree and experience in managing a day care centre of substantial size. I am also an NNEB and I don't think it's the equivalent to a degree as its only a diploma.

We did ours last year and I think we had to get an Australian dollar bank draft from the bank, (which you have to pay for.)

I have a tattoo on my wrist but I got one thin enough so that if needed I could cover it with a watch strap.

Even though we have received our invitation we are not able to apply until August as they are having trouble with the online application process!!!!!

We applied for SS in jan but didn't get a result until may, we had some issues and weren't able to apply before so we decided to go for EOI and skillselect

I was surprised to recieve the invitation this quick, yes you are right we knew we would get invited but didn't think it would be this quick. not sure what you mean by we 'still' managed to get SS, we applied on the 2nd of January and had to wait 19 weeks for a result, after our disaster last year we are grateful for a second chance.

Yes we have SS for Victoria, which took an agonising 19 weeks to get!!! We applied in jan of this year and didn't hear til may!!!

Gosh what a year you've had!! Hope you are all better now. We hope to go to Melbourne. Fingers crossed anyway!!, Have you submitted your EOI?
